Elizabeth and Mitchell set up at a local restaurant that they're served for the girls' birthday party today. All of Mitchell and most of Elizabeth's family and friends arrive to celebrate this special day. Mitchell asks Elizabeth something, "Louise isn't coming, right?"
"Nope, I didn't invite her at all. I don't want her showing up out of the blue." says Elizabeth. "Me neither. I want the girls' to have a good day and to be happy, too." says Mitchell. "As do I. Girls? Ready for your day?" says Elizabeth.
Both of the girls' nod and begin having their pizza then the girls'open their presents. Elizabeth and Mitchell just smile and stare inawe of their adoptive girls. The party lasts for another hour, and Elizabeth and Mitchell with the girls in tow made a quick dinner pit stop and head on home.
"I'm happy to be home with my favorite people!" says Elizabeth. "Me too. Come on girls. Let's head in and eat some food." says Mitchell.
They all eat and turn in a few hours later.
What a perfect day happened...-Elizabeth thought.
June 27th, 2001
Elizabeth takes the girls to the park today and Mitchell happened to have theday off from work. Everyone gets ready, makes a quick pit stop for coffee, and heads to the park.
"I'm so happy you are not at work today, babe." says Elizabeth. "Me too. Get to spend time with my girls today. By the way, thanks for coffee." says Mitchell. "No problem. Caffeine always solves theproblem." says Elizabeth. "It does, indeed." says Mitchell.
The girls play, and Elizabeth notices Randall, a friend of hers. He walks over to her to talk.
"My, my it has been a while seen we have seen each other last." says Randall. "It has been. How's your life been?" says Elizabeth. "Good. Just recently got married last fall to my partner, Eric."says Randall. "That's fantastic. The girls just turned seven, and my husband Mitchell and I renewed our vows for our 10 year wedding anniversary." says Elizabeth. "That's good. We should grab coffee sometime when your not busy. Nice meeting you, Mitchell. Bye now." says Randall. "Bye." says both Mitchell and Elizabeth.
They leave the park, and head on home for some lunch. Elizabeth has someschool stuff to do and as she does that, Mitchell makes her lunch forher.
"Thanks, babe." says Elizabeth, giving Mitchell a kiss. "No problem. Let me know if I can be of any assistance." says Mitchell. "Yup will do babe. Wait... can you pick up something for dinner at the store tonight? I haven't figured out anything just yet." says Elizabeth. "Yes, I can. You got the girls?" says Mitchell. "Yes, I've got them. Find something good for dinner, babe." says Elizabeth. "Will do. See you in 10." says Mitchell.
Mitchell runs to the store, and Elizabeth continues to do school stuff. Holly and Allison quickly drop by.
"Hey, Elizabeth; how are you?" says Holly, cueing Allison to play with the girls. "Good. Wish teaching was much easier." says Elizabeth."Did you need a coffee?" says Holly. "Sure. Brew up a cup. Make yourself one if you want." says Elizabeth. "Okay." says Holly.
Holly makes coffee for herself and Elizabeth; she brings the cup over to her and says, "Thanks."
"How was the girls' birthday?" says Holly. "Good. Pizza always cures the kids to their own happiness." says Elizabeth. "It does."says Holly. "I'm just happy to see you and be home." saysElizabeth. "Stressed from work?" says Holly. "A bit, yes." says Elizabeth. "I'm going to a yoga class this week. Wanna come? It'll be helpful." says Holly. "Sure. What time?" saysElizabeth. "This Thursday at 5. Sound good?" says Holly. "Yes. Call me and we can meet. I'll be sure to grab a mat from the store for it." says Elizabeth. "Can't wait." says Holly, sipping her coffee.
Holly finishes her coffee up and leaves with Allison and lets Elizabeth get her school stuff done, and kindly says, "Bye."
"See ya this week for yoga." says Elizabeth. "Yup. See you then." says Holly.
As soon as Holly leaves, Mitchell arrives back with the groceries for dinner. Elizabeth pauses her work to say hi to her Mitchell.
"Hi, babe. What did you get for dinner?" says Elizabeth. "We're having mac and cheese; green beans; roasted turkey." says Mitchell. "Sounds good. Hey, I'm meeting with Holly this week for yoga. Work has been getting me stressed." says Holly. "Sorry to hear that. That sounds like fun. Listen, I'll cook dinner and we'll take the girls out for ice cream after dinner is cleaned up." says Mitchell. "Sounds good to me. I'll finish my work up." says Elizabeth.
Mitchell begins cooking dinner, and the girls go ahead and begin setting the table up. They go back and play until dinner is ready. Couple of hours later, dinner is ready. Mitchell plates everyone's food and places it on the table. They all eat, and enjoy each other's company.
"Babe, this is really good." says Elizabeth. "It is, isn't it?" says Mitchell. "It is." says Elizabeth. "Girls, you like it?" says Mitchell. "Yes." says both Juliet and Isabella. "Good. Glad to hear." says Mitchell.
They finish eating, and Mitchell cleans up as Elizabeth gets the girls' shoes on to go out and get some ice cream. Mitchell leaves with his girls' and heads out to get some ice cream from the ice cream shop in town. Everyone gets a different flavor, eats, and they all head home.
What a day tomorrow will bring...
