Chapter 14

September 26th, 2000

Mitchell & Elizabeth's weekend getaway... or so they thought?

Today is the weekend and Elizabeth couldn't be more excited to be with Mitchell away from the girls' for the first time. The car is all packed and they are on their way. Arriving a few hours later at the cabin Mitchell picked out, Elizabeth is gleamed with joy.

"Baby, thank you; I needed this after all the traumatic events that have happened to us and the girls'." says Elizabeth. "You're welcome. No more kid talk after today. It's you and I time." says Mitchell. "Yes, yes it is. Can't wait for this weekend has in store." says Elizabeth.

Mitchell booked reservations for dinner in town tonight at 6pm. Elizabeth gets herself all glammed up and heads out with Mitchell for date night. They arrive to dinner, and notices no one else is here.

"Is this is all for us?" says Elizabeth. "I reserved the restaurant out just for us. I wanted this to be special." says Mitchell. "How sweet of you! It'll be even more romantic now." says Elizabeth with a huge smile to her face.

Mitchell and Elizabeth order their drinks and appetizers, too; they share and enjoy a light laugh.

"Perfect night with my favorite person." says Elizabeth. "Mine too. Ready to order?" says Mitchell. "Of course." says Elizabeth.

Mitchell orders salmon, mashed potatoes and veggies for him; he order Elizabeth a grilled chicken salad and sweet potato fries. They continue to converse until their food arrives. As the food arrives, Elizabeth seemed surprised.

"Babe, you ordered this for me?" says Elizabeth. "Yes, I did; you need a light meal for what is about to happen later." says Mitchell, with raised eyebrows and charming smile. "Oh, my; Mitchell, my Mitchell. Anything for you, baby." says Elizabeth. "Eat up. Besides later, I do have a surprise when we go back to the cabin." says Mitchell. "Okay." says Elizabeth.

They finish their meal and head back to the cabin. Mitchell walks Elizabeth up thestairs and notices something.

"Mitchell, what is this?" says Elizabeth. "Open the box on the counter." says Mitchell. "Okay." says Elizabeth, with a surprised grin on her face.

She opens it and notices a wedding vow renewal note and a new ring for it; she goes over to kiss him and doesn't let go at all.

"Mitchell, really? This is the best thing you've ever done." says Elizabeth."I wanted this weekend so I could do it. I hope you like the ring, baby. I had a little help from Holly designing this. I needed a female input." says Mitchell, with a light laugh. "It's beautiful and I can't wait to renew our vows. I love you so much." says Elizabeth. "I love you, too, baby." says Mitchell. "I need to go pick a dress out, and do everything for this." says Elizabeth. "We'll do all that when we get back, but first, remove your dress before I do it myself." says Mitchell, in a soft whisper in Elizabeth's ear. "Oh, Mitchell, yes, yes I will." says Elizabeth.

They go into the bedroom and give into their passions. They here a knocking on the door and it's someone that wasn't invited this weekend...
