Chapter 19

A couple of days later...

Elizabeth took off of work today due to the stress of it. So, Holly invited her to yoga and they both leave around 4pm for the evening class.

"Thanks for inviting me, Holly." says Elizabeth. "No problem. I hope it does help." says Holly. "I hope so too." says Elizabeth. "Where are the girls' and Mitchell?" says Holly. "Mitchell got off of work early and he's home with them." says Elizabeth. "He's such a doting husband to you." says Holly. "He is. I'm grateful for him." says Elizabeth.

They arrive to theclass, get all settled in, and roll out their yoga mats. The classbegins a few minutes later. I feel so good coming to this class today. I hope this will help with the stress of work. And maybe make this a recurring thing on stressful days.- Elizabeth thought.

The class ends an hour later, and Holly makes a suggestion- "Would you like to go get coffee or tea today?" Elizabeth replies back with, "Sure. Anything to boost my mood even more up."

They stop to get coffee and sit outside for a few minutes and sip their drinks and head on home. Holly drops Elizabeth off and she walks in to see Mitchell and the girls.

"Honey, I'm so happy to see you. Class went well?" says Mitchell. "Yes, I think I want to be more than one time though." says Elizabeth. "I guess it helped then." says Mitchell. "It did. I'll go back to work feeling much more restful and happy." says Elizabeth. "I've got dinner taken care of. Go play and hang with the girls. I'll bring you some water." says Mitchell. "You don't have to." says Elizabeth. "I want to. For you." says Mitchell, handing her a glass of water. "Thank you, babe." says Elizabeth, giving Mitchell a kiss. "You're welcome." says Mitchell.

Mitchell continues to cook dinner, and observes his wife from a distance. He just smiles as she is playing with the girls. The doorbell rings, and it's Elizabeth's mom.

"Hope I'm not too late for dinner!" says Greta. "You are not, mom. Hi, how are you?" says Elizabeth. "Good. You look happy." says Greta. "I am happy." says Elizabeth. "That's good. Happy to hear, honey. What did you do today?" says Greta. "Our neighbor invited me to yoga today, since I've been stressed with work, and I think it helped." says Elizabeth. "Sorry work has been bothering you and I'm glad you found your niche." says Greta. "I am too. I think I will go back next week." says Elizabeth. "Good." says Greta, hugging her daughter. "I'm happy you're here." says Elizabeth, hugging her mom and crying happy tears. "Baby, I'm sorry that I upset you." says Greta. "You didn't; I'm just having a happy cry." says Elizabeth. "Okay." says Greta. "Time to eat, everyone!" says Mitchell.

The girls set the table, and place out place cards for everyone for dinner tonight. It makes the meal more inviting. Everyone sits to eat, and goes ahead to enjoy the meal. Dinner lasts a good hour, before they are interrupted again by the doorbell.

Elizabeth gets up to get it, and notices Holly dropping by. She hugs Elizabeth and tells her "Thank you for coming today." She replies back with,"Yes I enjoyed myself; I'd like to go back next time." Hollyr eplies back with, "Okay. Sorry to interrupt dinner. I'll go now." Holly excuses herself back home and dinner resumes.

"Who was that dear?" says Greta. "The neighbor that invited me to yoga today. Her name is Holly. She wanted to come over and say thank you." saysElizabeth. "That was nice of her, babe." says Mitchell. "It was. And I let her know I wanted to go back next week." says Elizabeth. "Good. Glad to hear." says Greta.

Dinner finishes up, and Mitchell is more than happy to clean it up. Everyone else gets settled into the dining room for some dessert. Greta was nice enough to bring over some homemade cupcakes and some tea for tonight.

"Mom, you didn't have to." says Elizabeth. "I wanted to do it for thegirls. Every girl likes good cupcakes now." says Greta. "True." says Elizabeth. "You want some peppermint tea? I brought some." says Greta. "Sure. Girls, you want some?" says Elizabeth. "Sure. I'd mine with some sugar in it please." says Juliet. "Me too." says Isabella. "Three cups then. I'll go make some." says Greta.

Greta brews some tea up for the girls and Mitchell grabs napkins for the cupcakes. Assoon as the kettle goes off, Greta gets the mugs out, steeps the tea and sweetens the tea for each of them.

"Thanks, grandma!" says both Isabella and Juliet. "You're welcome, girls." says Greta. "Thanks, mom." says Elizabeth. "No problem." says Greta.

The girls sip their tea and everyone has a cupcake and just enjoys themselves. As soon as that happens, one person, yet again, decides to ruin the party...
