Chapter 12

July 10th,1999

Six days later...

Louise gets transferred to an all women's prison today and she's not too happy about it. But for some reason, today is visitor's day. So, Mitchell being off from work, takes the girls' early to go see her. ButElizabeth has no idea. Elizabeth wakes up and notices the house empty. She panics. But she sees a note on the fridge reading- Took the girls' out for the day. Be back later. Call if you need something. Love, Mitchell. She has a sense of relief from the note. But something seems fishy to her.

He better not have done what Ithink he done. She has no right to be near those girls. I'm just happy they are safe with Mitchell and not her.- Elizabeth thought.

Elizabeth goes and makes her coffee and realizes that she's almost out of it. So after she has breakfast, she gets ready and heads to the store. She goes to the store, and gets her ground coffee and notices Holly there too.

"Hey there, Elizabeth; how are you?" says Holly. "Panicky. I can sense it. I have this feeling Mitchell took them to see Louise for visitors' day. And I am afraid." says Elizabeth. "Sorry to hear that. Well let's hope not. Mitchell is very trustworthy to you and the girls'. He wouldn't do such a thing." says Holly. "I know. But do you mind if I come over today? I hate being in the house by myself." says Elizabeth. "Sure. I'll grab some things for dinner. Wanna help pick it out?" says Holly. "Sure. I'll see you at 2?" says Elizabeth. "Sounds good." says Holly.

Elizabeth helps Holly with ingredients for dinner and they head their separate ways. She drives home and sees Mitchell's car back in the driveway. She's furious. Elizabeth grabs her groceries and heads inside.

"What the hell, Mitchell?! I told you not to take them there! Why can't you listen to me?!" says Elizabeth. "I'm sorry I should've told you. But for some reason, she wanted to see them." says Mitchell. "She doesn't need to see them!" says Elizabeth. "I know. I know."says Mitchell. "You know??" says Elizabeth. "Honey, calm down!" says Mitchell. "NO! I'm going over to Holly's for a few. See you later. Have fun with the girls'." says Elizabeth.

Mitchellshakes his head and he knows she's mad. I've got to dosomething about this. Flowers? No. Dinner? No. Movie? No. Plan a day with the girls'. Yes! That's what I'll do.- Mitchell thought. He goes to feed them and notices the unthinkable happen across the street. Elizabeth is over at Holly's sipping red wine.This isn't good.-Mitchell thought. He goes to make himself lunch and then cleans everyone else's lunch up, too; he gets the girls and pops a movie in the VHS player and they all sit and watch it until Elizabeth comes back.

Meanwhile at Holly's house...

"This is some good wine!" says Elizabeth. "I thought you didn't drink." says Holly. "I went to rehab because I had a bad drinking problem."says Elizabeth. "No more wine for you." says Holly. "I'm mad a tMitchell." says Elizabeth. "Why? Cause he disobeyed you?" says Holly. "Yes. Drinking takes it off my mind." says Elizabeth. "Not anymore it doesn't. I'm throwing all my alcoholic drinks away. You got clean and drank in front of me. I don't like that." says Holly. "Okay, I'll stop for good this time. Need help with dinner?" says Elizabeth. "Sure. You can set the picnic table up outside with ou rplacements and silverware." says Holly.
