Chapter 30

A month later on September 3rd, 2009 in New York

The girls', Louise, Elizabeth and Mitchell all awake on this Labor Day morning; schools and work are closed so Mitchell planned a fun day to Coney Island for the girls'. They take the train, and arrive around lunch time.

"Thanks so much, Mitchell!" says Isabella & Juliet. "You're welcome, girls." says Mitchell. "Roller coaster, anyone?" says Elizabeth. "I'll go with you, honey." says Mitchell. "Okay. Louise, you want to do something with the girls'?" says Elizabeth. "Yes, let's do that. Girls, prepare to lose at a game!" says Louise. "Oh, it's on!" says Juliet & Isabella.

The girls' and Louise play a few fun games whereas Mitchell and Elizabeth ride a roller coaster. The gang stops halfway after they are done to eat some lunch. Everyone finds a spot to sit and eat. They hop on a few rides after lunch has been digested then head back to the train and go home.

"Well, that was fun! We should do that more often." says Juliet. "Yes, let's!" says Isabella. "Okay, we'll have to." says Mitchell. "What do you all want for dinner?" says Elizabeth. "Let's make something at home." says Louise. "Good suggestion." says Elizabeth. "I'll cook if you want. Let you rest before you have to go back to work tomorrow." says Louise. "That would be nice. Do we need to stop?" says Elizabeth. "I'll figure something out." says Louise. "Okay." says Elizabeth.

Louise whips up a homemade chicken stir-fry for everyone for dinner tonight. The girls' set the table up; "Dinner is served, my ladies and gents!" says Louise. Everyone helps themselves to it and converse around the dinner table. The girls' clean up after dinner is done. Elizabeth brews some decaf coffee for mostly everyone. Louise makes her tea; the girls' prepare for school tomorrow. Then a knock is heard on the door.

"Who is it?" says Elizabeth. "It's Kent." says Kent. "Go away, Kent. Louise isn't here." says Elizabeth. "Okay, well if you see her- tell her I'm sorry and that I truly mean that. I'll be going now. I've got to catch the train back to Boston." says Kent. "Okay, bye." says Elizabeth. "Is he gone?" whispers Louise. "Yes." says Elizabeth. "Okay. I heard him. I still don't forgive him. I've moved on. I'm looking forward to bigger and better things." says Louise. "I like that positive attitude, Louise." says Mitchell. "Thank you, Mitchell. You guys need anything from me?" says Louise. "Nope. If you need your 'me time', take it."says Elizabeth. "Thank you. If I don't come back out, I'm going to say good night." says Louise. "Okay." says Elizabeth.

Louise heads to her room, diffuses her lavender essential oil, and decides to meditate tonight. Elizabeth & Mitchell head up afterwards to get ready for the day tomorrow. After Louise meditates, she brews some more tea and goes back into her room; reads for a few, showers, and heads off to sleep.

The next day...

The girls', Mitchell and Elizabeth head back today to school and work. Louise gets up to see the girls' before they head off to school. She makes the coffee, tea for herself, and also some breakfast burritos for everyone to take with them this morning. Everyone but Louise heads off for the day. She gets ready after they leave; makes another cup of tea, journals and meditates.

A few hours later, the girls' and Elizabeth arrive back; she notices Elizabeth got some things to make for dinner tonight plus some more ground coffee for them.

"Hey, good day today?" says Louise. "Yes, it was. Louise?" says Elizabeth. "May I suggest something?" says Elizabeth. "I talked with Mitchell last night about you living here and he and I suggested you pay some rent. Is this okay?" says Elizabeth. "Yes, how much?" says Louise. "$200 a month." says Elizabeth. "I earned a majority of the money from my divorce so yes that's fine but I don't have a checkbook." says Louise. "Mitchell was nice enough to order you some. They should be here by next week. You can start paying your rent next week." says Elizabeth. "Okay, sounds good. Need help with dinner or are you fine?" says Louise. "Yes, I'd like your help please." says Elizabeth. "Okay." says Louise.

The girls' work on homework; Elizabeth brews some coffee for her and the girls'. Louise has her snack and some tea as she helps Elizabeth with dinner. Dinner is served a couple hours later and Mitchell arrives home just in time.

"Hi, babe. Did you tell Louise?" says Mitchell. "Yes. She'll start paying rent next week." says Elizabeth. "That's fair. Dinner smells good." says Mitchell. "It does, doesn't it?" says Elizabeth. "Yup." says Mitchell.

Everyone sits down to eat, converses, and helps clean up afterward. Why did Kent travel all the way to tell me he's sorry? I don't want anything to do with him anymore. He's gone to me.-Louise thought.

"Girls? You have a second?" says Louise. "Coming!" says Juliet & Isabella. "Okay." says Louise. "What is it?" says Juliet."Have you both thought about it yet?" says Louise. "We actually came up with a decision. Since you did get the help you needed, we would like you back under one condition." says Juliet. "Yes?" says Louise. "We would like to be close by to Mitchell and Elizabeth. And to also stay in New York." says Isabella. "That's fine. We need to talk to them about this, okay? Thank you, girls." says Louise. "You're welcome." says Isabella & Juliet.

I'm so happy they thought that decision out together. We'll have a fresh start without Kent in New York. Even though we'll be nearby Elizabeth and Mitchell which is always great. They are such good people. I hope they are happy with the decision the girls' made. I can't wait to have them back!- Louise thought.

The girls' are beaming with excitement on the inside; they get ready forschool tomorrow. Finally, I'll have a life with my birth mama once more. It'll be a nice change.-Juliet thought.
