Chapter 10

July 3rd, 1999

The next day, Mitchell gets the girls' up and Elizabeth is already downstairs making breakfast for everyone.

"Good morning, babe." says Mitchell. "Morning, want coffee?" says Elizabeth. "I'll get it thanks, babe." says Mitchell. "Girls been fed?"says Elizabeth. "They are waiting on their mommy to cook for them this morning. Girls want some juice?" says Mitchell.

Both of them nod their head and Mitchell brings over their juice. Elizabeth begins plating the food and everyone eats.

"Good breakfast, dear." says Mitchell. "Thanks." says Elizabeth."What are we going to do today?" says Mitchell. "Take the girls' out to the beach?" says Elizabeth. "That sounds like fun!"says Mitchell.

The girls are beyond excited but they hope nothing bad happens. After breakfast is done, Mitchell was nice enough to clean up and Elizabeth gets the girls ready for the beach. Mitchell heads up and changes as well.They leave, and notice Holly leaving as well to go the beach. I guess we'll see them there today. Plus Isabella gets to see her friend, Allison.- Elizabeth thought.

The family arrives to the beach around 1pm, and gets set up. Elizabeth notices Holly andthey all sit next to each other at the beach.

"Didn't expect you to come today." says Elizabeth. "Me neither. But Allison wanted to go." says Holly. "It's fine. We're glad your here. Especially Isabella." says Elizabeth. "I bet she is." saysHolly. "I think Isabella likes having a friend like her. It's good bonding for them." says Elizabeth. "It is so. Allison, come over, sweetie." says Holly.

Allison comes over and Isabella face lights up; she goes over to Allison to hug her. Allison goes to do the same back.

"Wanna make a sandcastle?" says Isabella. "Sure." says Allison. "Yay! Let me grab my shovel. Oh, I forgot I brought you a shovel too. So you can help with the sandcastle." says Isabella. "That's nice of you, Bella. I like you." says Allison. "I like you too, Ali." says Isabella.

They make their sandcastle , and Holly and Elizabeth just gossip; Mitchell plays with Juliet in the ocean. Everyone has their lunch later in the day, and Holly asks Elizabeth something, "Did you guys want to come over for dinner tonight?" Elizabeth responds with, "Sure. We don't have anything going on." Mitchell responds with, "We'll see you at 6?"Holly responds with, "Yep, sounds like a plan."

Elizabeth and Mitchell gets all of the things ready to go home; they stop for ice cream halfway and then head home. But something gets in the way oftheir dinner plans.

"Hello, family." says Louise, with a smiling grin. "Why won't you leave us alone?!" says Elizabeth. "I'm not going anywhere without my girls." says Louise. "I'm calling the police." says Elizabeth."You call them? I'll kill the both of the girls'." says Louise."You wouldn't dare!" says Elizabeth.

She calls them, and the police arrives within 30 minutes. They arrest Louise right on the spot after what Elizabeth said to them.

"Girls, your birth mommy is going away for a long time." says Elizabeth. "Is it a bad place?" says Isabella. "Yes." says Elizabeth. "I don't want her to go." says Juliet. "She has to. She's being bad." says Elizabeth. "How bad?" says Isabella. "Bad enough. Girls go pick a dress out for dinner." says Elizabeth.

The girls' head to their room and pick out their dress to put on for dinner. Elizabeth helps them with putting it on. 6 p.m. is nearing, and the family heads over in nice attire and notices Holly in the backyard with Allison.

"You guys look nice." says Holly. "Thank you; we had another incident before coming over." says Elizabeth. "Birth mommy went crazy again?" says Holly. "Yep. We had her arrested and she's going to be a bad place for a long time." says Elizabeth. "As long as the girls'are safe, that's all that matters." says Holly. "Agreed." says Elizabeth.

They all sit and converse at the picnic table where they eat dinner altogether for this evening. Holly also asks the family something, "I'm having a small 4th of July party tomorrow, wanna come?" Elizabeth responds with, "Sure. Wanna come, babe?" Mitchell responds with, "Yeah, we'll come and bring the girls'." Holly responds with, "Cool."

This is one celebration that'll definitely have fireworks.

July 4th, 1999

Later in the afternoon, the family heads over to Holly's house and sees that the 4th of July theme is all around the house. Burgers and hotdogs are being grilled by Holly herself. And the family notices that as they head outside.

"Smells good, Holly." says Mitchell. "Thanks; you can take the girls' over to play with Allison if you want." says Holly. "Okay, you girls' go play now." says Elizabeth.

The girls head over to play, and the adults converse.

"Hear the news about Louise?" says Holly. "What's that?" says Elizabeth. "She escaped and she's coming back for you all. I saw it on the news last night." says Holly. "Oh my gosh, I can't take this anymore. It's too much." says Elizabeth. "It is, babe. Come here." says Mitchell, as Elizabeth leans into Mitchell, sobbing. "It's okay, Elizabeth." says Holly. "It is not!" says Elizabeth. "Sorry, I'll leave you alone." says Holly.

Elizabeth walks over to see the girls' playing and watches them for a few minutes. Holly responds with, "Food's ready." Everyone goes over and makes their plate up and eat. After eating, the sun sets and it gets closer to fireworks.

"HERE I COME!!!!" shouts Louise. "Oh my gosh, Mitchell! Grab the girls and run!" says Elizabeth.

Mitchell grabs the girls' and runs back to the house and Louise is just behind them."MOMMY!" shouts Juliet and Isabella. Elizabeth hears their voices and runs to them.

"Don't take my girls away from me!" says Louise. "I adopted them, so why do you want them back?" says Elizabeth. "Cause I love them." says Louise. "No you don't!" says Isabella. "You never did!" says Juliet. "Girls, you okay?" says Elizabeth. "Mommy, yes; her,no." says Isabella. "I've never see you speak like that before." says Elizabeth. "We don't want her near us, mama." says Isabella."Okay, baby; I won't let her get near you both girls." saysElizabeth. "Love you, mama." says both Isabella & Juliet. "Me too, girls; I called the police, Louise; you're going back to the bad place where you belong." says Elizabeth. "NO! You can't!" says Louise. "I can do whatever the hell I want. Goodbye, Louise." says Elizabeth.

The police arrives, and takes Louise away. Everyone is happy. And so are the girls'. They see fireworks blow up in the sky and the girls' think it is too loud but they still think they are pretty. Mitchell wraps Elizabeth around his arms, and they kiss.

What a spectacle of a day this was meant to be...- Elizabeth thought.
