"Your daughter is also an architect."
"Alam namin. Uuwi ka next weekend, okay? Promise me that."
Pumasok ako sa loob ng opisina ko. "I'll try, Dad."
"Hanggang sa hindi ka na naman makakauwi. Cera, your mom and I miss you. Just one dinner with you."
"I'll message you beforehand, okay po? Uuwi naman po ako dyan."
"Okay, you said that. Nga pala, your mom doesn't have the courage to ask you this pero ako na ang magtatanong."
"What is it, Dad?" I sat on my chair.
"She wants to know how Jovanni is doing now. Hindi mo kami sinabihan tungkol sa kaniya noong nagkita kayo. How is he, anak?"
"Kuya's fine, Dad. I'll send you a picture of him once I meet him again."
"Ayaw na ba niyang bumalik dito?"
"Sorry, Dad," I apologized.
I heard him sigh. "It's okay, Cera. I understand. What's important is that he's fine. Ano ang pinagkakaabalahan niya?"
