"Good morning," I said when I answered Shanaira's call. Kakagising ko lang at nagising ako dahil sa tawag niya.
"Buti naman sumagot ka na," she said. "You saw the news?"
"I just woke up, Aira. Is there something wrong?" I looked at Mikael and he was just looking at me. Mukhang kakagising lang din niya.
"You and Mikael are trending," Shanaira answered. "May mga nakakita sainyo sa Tagaytay kahapon at nakuhaan kayo ng litrato. Your pictures are scattered all over social media."
"Okay." Muli akong tumingin kay Mikael. I pressed the loudspeaker so he can hear our conversation. "Are there any violent reactions from the netizens?" I asked.
"So far, wala naman at wag na sana magkaroon. Everyone is happy for the both of you and they are curious at the same time especially when an article about your fixed marriage resurfaced," she explained. "Kasama mo pa ba si Mikael? Ipaalam mo sa kaniya 'to."
"He's here. He's listening."
"So, what are your plan? Anong plano niyong dalawa?"
"Confirm it," mabilis na sagot ko.
"So, kayo na?!" gulat na tanong ni Shanaira. Mikael chuckled.
"Yeah."
"Ang dami mong kwento ha!"
"I know," I chuckled. "Let's drink together with the girls next week. For now, let's talk about this."
"Okay. I'll confirm it tapos i-confirm niyo rin dalawa. At maghanda kayo sa kaliwa't kanan na mga interviews. Congratulations, Mikael and Cera. Masaya ako para sainyong dalawa."
