Ivory was only 10 years old at that time.
"Dad!" she shouted as loud as she could so that her father could hear her. She was inside the bathroom and was about to take a shower before going to school when something happened.
"Honey?!" Mikael knocked on the door. "Honey, what's wrong? Are you okay?"
"D-Dad, may dugo," Ivory started crying. She doesn't know what to do. This is the first time she saw blood inside her underwear.
"Dugo? Saan? What happened?" Mikael asked.
"May dugo po sa underwear ko, Dad," her daughter cried harder. "Dad, am I dying?"
Shoot.
That's when Mikael knew her daughter was already having her menstruation period.
"No, you're not dying, honey. That's normal."
Mikael tried to relax but deep inside him, he was panicking. He didn't know what to do. Her daughter is crying inside the bathroom and her wife is already at work.
Pero ayaw naman niyang ipahalata sa anak niya yon dahil baka lalong mag-isip ng kung ano ano ang anak niya.
"Dad, what should I do now?" naiyak na tanong pa rin ni Ivory.
"Wait, I'll get you new underwear. Relax, honey," he said. He immediately called her to wife while he was on his way to Ivory's room.
"Miel, why did you call?" Cera asked right after answering the call.
"Ivory is having her menstruation period," sagot ni Mikael. "Hindi ko alam gagawin ko! I mean, I know what to do, hindi ko lang alam ano uunahin. What should I do first? Miel!"
