Dumeretso kami sa Picnic Grove pagkatapos naming kumain ng tanghalian.
"Let's take a picture here," Mikael said when we reached the cottage.
"H-Huh?"
"Picture tayo," he said. "Pose for the camera, baby," he chuckled. Itinaas niya ang cellphone niya at agad kaming ngumiti para sa unang litrato. He took almost five shots in selfie.
"You're beautiful," he whispered while looking at our photos. "Mukha naman akong katulong dito."
"What?" I raised an eyebrow. Siya? Mukhang katulong? Why would he say that? He's the most handsome man I know.
"I'm just joking," he said, putting his phone in his pocket.
Hindi ko na lang siya pinansin at tumuon ako sa railings ng cottage. I looked at the view. What I love here in Tagaytay is that I can see Taal Lake up-close. Ang ganda ng view kahit saan ako magpunta.
"It's beautiful," I said while looking at it.
"Mas maganda ka pa rin," he said. Tumingin ako sa kaniya at tumabi siya sa akin. He smiled and he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Stop saying that." Nature is more beautiful than me. Walang makakatalo sa ganda ng kalikasan.
"What can I say? You're really beautiful."
We stayed quiet after that. Sumandal ako sa balikat niya habang nakatingin lang kami sa lawa. It's calming. I have never felt this way for years.
Sa tabi lang niya, sa yakap lang niya payapa ang mundo ko. I can escape reality for a while when I'm with him.
