Jax's POV
It's been 2/3 weeks since Letty's arrest and we haven't heard anything. We had found some information on the shooters but nothing useful to help Letty and her case.
During that time, a few of us had paid a visit to Ireland as we had some information on Abel from one of our charters there. Kozik and Tig stayed behind in Charming to deal with the garage and Letty's arrest while the rest of us dealt with the situation with Abel.
We was in Ireland for just a little under a week before we came back to Charming with Abel safely in my arms. Nothing made me happier than having my child back in my arms and I knew that I would be happier seeing the look on Letty's face when she finds out that Abel is back home as I knew that she loved Abel more than anything.
Since we have been back from Ireland, I have been having secret meetings with Agent Stahl as the club was also looking at jail time and I wanted to protected the club in any way that I can.
Currently in the station, I was negotiating with Agent Stahl in her office as I tried to get the club reduced jail time. I knew that the club would potentially see me as a rat but I was doing this for the club as I knew that the longer we served in prison, the longer the club would be crushed for.
"I can reduce the jail time to three years with the information you have provided. 18 months on good behaviour." Stahl stated.
"I'm glad that we can make a fair deal" I replied as I began to walk to the door.
"Oh Jax?" Stahl called out as my hand was placed on the door handle.
"Yeah?"
"We have dropped Letty's case as there was no longer any suitable evidence to charge her with so she will be coming home today." Stahl answered
"I'm glad that you made the right call dropping Letty's case." I commented
"She has asked specifically for you or Opie pick her up from prison." Stahl replied as I nodded.
Leaving the room, I headed out of the station as I was stopped in my tracks by a familiar face.
David Loki.
He was Letty's boyfriend all the way through high school. From what I could remember, he was a nice guy and he treated Letty right even though Piney didn't really approve of him for reasons no one could understand.
"Jax" David nodded as he came face-to-face with me
"Long time no see. I thought you got out of Charming years ago. What brings you back?" I questioned
"I'm a detective so I am going to be staying in Charming for a few weeks on a case." David answered
"So you ain't just randomly at the station for causing trouble again?" I laughed
Growing up, Opie, Letty and I would be in the station from time to time due to us causing trouble which resulted in David joining us on the odd occasion.
"I think we both know those days are long gone." He laughed back
"Does Letty know that you are back?" I asked
"We saw each other briefly as she was being walked out of the station to head to prison by a couple of cops." The man explained
"I don't know how she is gonna feel about you being back so you best be fully prepared." I stated.
"I know and I'm not looking to start any trouble with her or any of the club. I'm here on a case that's all." David explained.
"Letty is coming home tonight. If you are planning on talking to her, give her a few days." I commented as he nodded in return.
Pulling up to the clubhouse, I headed inside to find a couple of the guys scattered by the pool table and the bar.
"Hey Op — Letty has been released. She wanted you and me to pick her up from the prison." I spoke placing myself in front of him.
"Alright brother. Let's go" Opie replied.
Walking out of the clubhouse with Opie by my side, we had informed Clay that we was heading out to pick up Letty to which Clay ordered us to take the van instead of our bikes.
An hour on the road had passed and we had finally managed to pick up Letty. Letty wasn't in the best of conditions when Opie and I picked her up. She had a black eye, a busted lip and bruised knuckles from what we could see.
The car ride was pretty much silent on the way back to TM as none of us knew what to say to each other. Pulling into the lot, I noticed a change in Letty's expression, one more readable.
"Please tell you didn't throw me a welcome home party." Letty commented
"I kinda had an idea that they was going to throw you a party but I wasn't sure if they were definitely going to do it." I explained
Letty's POV
I spent 2/3 weeks inside and I wasn't at all in a mood for a party at the clubhouse. Getting shitfaced, yes but as for the party that was something I hoped wasn't going to happen when I got home.
Getting out of the van with Opie's help, I walked passed the people gathered outside the clubhouse as I made my way inside. I didn't bother to talk to anyone inside the clubhouse either as I placed myself at the bar grabbing the first bottle of alcohol I could get my hands on.
A few drinks later and I was still letting the alcohol pour into my system as I wasn't as wasted as I would of liked to be. The guys didn't bother to talk to me about what happened or try to stop me from drinking as much as I was as they knew it wouldn't end well right now so they stood from a distance, occasionally looking over their shoulder at me to check if I was alright.
"I'm gonna head home to Tara and the kid but keep an eye on her" Jax ordered Chibs and Tig from the sofa as they watched me silently.
"I wonder what happened" Tig commented to Chibs as Jax left.
They both shrugged their shoulders before they went back to drinking as they knew that they wasn't going to get any answers from me tonight or any time soon. They also knew I wasn't one for showing emotions which lead me to get bottle them up and shoved in the back of a drawer.
I quickly moved on to a vodka bottle as Happy placed himself next to me at the bar. I knew that things wasn't going to go down well as Happy and I are both as stubborn as each other.
"Not gonna talk to me?" Happy asked
"Nothing to say" I muttered placing the bottle to my lips.
"Maybe you should slow down on the drinks. We both know how much you hate a hangover" Happy suggested.
"I'm fine Hap. Go get laid or something, don't worry about me." I slightly smiled
"That's all I do. Worry about you" Happy muttered
"I know and I'm grateful for that but I'll be fine." I replied
Happy stayed at the bar for a while to keep me company but the constant stares from the crow eaters was ruining my drinking session.
"Go spend the rest of your night with one of crow eaters that are practically drooling over you over there. God forbid if I come between you and a shit lay" I chuckled
"You sure that you don't want the company?" Happy questioned
"I'm sure, go have some fun but don't forgot to use some bleach afterwards, you don't know what you'll catch" I smirked causing Happy to scoff.
Happy placed a hand in my shoulder as he wandered off to a crow eater before I continued to drink.
