The Mechanic

Part 30

For reasons that I could understand, I had this sort of weight lifted off my shoulders when I began walking the halls of Saint Thomas. Even though I had went to an AA meeting yesterday, I had decided to go again today which I was glad I made the decision to do so as it left me feeling in a better mood which both Tara and Margaret Murphy noticed when they were cut short doing some paperwork at a desk when they noticed me coming down the hallway.

"Someone seems happier. I take it that the meetings are going well for you?" Margret Smiled

"I've never been happier. The meetings are going perfect." I smiled back.

"I'm glad that they are working out for you" Tara commented leaving my smile to grow wider

Before I could say my goodbyes to the duo, Tara informed me that Gemma was in a car accident last night and in a room healing while Abel and Thomas are in another doing the same thing. I automatically went in panic mood leading me to throw questions at Tara asking her if Abel and Thomas are okay which the doctor reassured me that although Abel had to have a minor operation on his heart, both him and Thomas are doing good causing me to let a sigh of relief.

Once I had heard about the accident, I quickly head inside the room that Gemma is being held in for recovery to check up on her which I spotted Nero sat in the room when I step inside.

"Sorry I would of come sooner but I've only just found out. How are you holding up?" I asked, taking Gemma's hand in mine.

"Apart from a few scratches I'm doing just fine, baby." Gemma slightly smiled

"Is there anything I can do for you?" I asked again

"I don't need anything but thank you" Gemma answered leaving me to nod in return.

I chose to stay and talk to Gemma & Nero for a little bit before I head over to see how Abel and Thomas are doing which I can tell that Gemma is glad about but at point in the conversation, I noticed Gemma looking over my body, almost like she was inspecting it.

"What?"

"Are you pregnant?" Gemma didn't hesitate to question

"No" I laughed

"Are you sure? Because the size of your tits and stomach are saying differently, don't you think I've noticed how they have gotten bigger." Gemma stated, leaving Nero slightly uncomfortable at the topic

"Look I'm only 40% fertile so the chances of me being pregnant are slim so the only way that would happen if Happy had some strong arse sperm." I explained

Without saying anything further in the topic, Gemma chose to give me a nod even though she wasn't satisfied with the answer she received. Deciding it was time to head over to see Abel and Thomas, I gave Gemma a slight hug before giving Nero a kiss on the cheek before I left the room.

It didn't take me long before I had managed to head inside the room Abel was staying in. Entering the room, I noticed Abel laying on the bed with a bandage wrapped around his bed which caused me to rush over to his bed.

The second I had made it to the bed, Abel lunged himself at me before wrapping his arms around my torso which left me to place a kiss on the top of his head.

"How you holding up, Nugget? Anything hurt?" I softly asked, looking down at the boy

"I'm doing fine, Auntie Letty. Daddy says I'm brave with how well I am being." Abel answered

"Well your daddy isn't wrong about you being brave." I smiled

Looking at the sweet boy in the bed with a soft smile on my face, it didn't take long before Abel begged me to stay with him for a while which is an offer that I couldn't deny. The second I agreed, Abel had made room on his bed for me so I can sit next to him. Placing myself next to him, Abel didn't waste any time in cuddling up to my side leaving his arms to dangle around my waist.

"Auntie Letty, I need to tell you something" Abel spoke, breaking the silence

"What's that?" I asked

"You are my best friend." Abel confessed

Without even realising, Abel's confession had caused a few happy tears to roll down my face which Abel was soon to notice, leaving him to wipe them away.

"You are my best friend too but you have to promise not to tell Uncle Tig about this as it will make him jealous." I smiled causing Abel to giggle

Without noticing, Jax had been leaning up against the wall watching both Abel and I which left him to smile widely at the interaction between the two of us.

After the time I spent with Abel was up, I hugged both Abel and Jax goodbye before heading home which I spotted Happy with a few of the guys sitting in the waiting room until Jax needed them. Coming up close to them, I ended up catching their attention causing them to look over at me.

"How long have you been here?" Chibs asked

"I've been here since about 2 hours before Tara and Jax had turned up." I answered

"What were you doing here before anyone else?" Tig questioned

"I was in an AA meeting" I answered leaving shocked looks to appear on everyone's faces except from Happy's.

"You've been going to AA meetings?" Juice questioned with a curious tone in his voice.

"Yeah I have and It's nothing new, I've been going for months." I stated

The guys didn't bother to say anything else as they briefly watched me sit down next to Chibs before a silence ended up lingering around the group. During the time that had passed while we was in the waiting room, a few members had left to do some club business for Jax leaving the rest of us behind which when it started to get late, Jax had informed us that we could go home for the night.

It didn't take long after Jax gave the order for Happy and I to arrive home. Taking our shoes off, we both headed inside the bedroom to get ready for the night which during the time I got ready, I began to notice what Gemma had previously pointed out.

"Hap -- Do you think my tits and stomach has gotten bigger?" I asked, turning to face him

"I have noticed a difference but I'm loving every second of it." Happy smirked leaving me to laugh.

Without a second thought, Happy pulled me into the bed causing me to fall on top of him before he pulls me in for a kiss which I started to deepen. The kiss didn't last long before we both fell into a deep sleep.
