The Mechanic

Part 35

During the late hours of last night, Jax had called informing both Happy and I that Tara had been arrested for the conspiratory to commit murder which we both figured it was down to what happened with Otto and the nurse during her volunteer work at the prison.

While that was happening, Clay has also been arrested for the murder of Damon Pope which Sheriff Roosevelt found the gun that Tig used to kill Pope which Jax had framed Clay for. Plus on top of that, Bobby had handed over his VP patch and decided to leave Charming for a while to ride with a few NOMADS.

Since Tara had been arrested, Happy and I had decided to head over Jax's house early to help him out with the boys. By the time we had got there, Gemma was in the kitchen with Abel sitting at the table while she cooked some breakfast.

"Morning Nugget - what have you begged grandma to make you for breakfast?" I smiled, placing myself on a seat at table.

"Pancakes" Abel giggled

"It should take too long to make you two some as well. I know you probably rushed over here without grabbing something to eat" Gemma smiled, briefly turning her attention away from the stove.

"That sounds good, Gem. Letty gets moody when she hasn't had something to eat." Happy chuckled, placing himself next to me at the table with Abel sat opposite him.

"Tell me about, I had to grow up with that moodiness. Always begging me to take her to that diner she's obsessed with." Jax chuckled back, when he entered the room with Thomas in his arms.

"Who hasn't she begged to take her to that diner" Gemma smirked, placing the plates of pancakes on the table.

"Yeah well I've got an excuse now so quit complaining." I smirked back causing a laughter to fill the kitchen.

While we were eating the pancakes Gemma had cooked, Jax handed over Thomas to his mother before placing a kiss on the top of Abel's head.

"I'm gonna go see Tara. You should head to T.M." Jax commented, looking over at the man sat beside me.

"I'm with you, pres" Happy stated

"I need to ride alone, clear my head. I'll be fine." Jax commented

"You can help me and Letty with the monsters." Gemma offered leaving a smile to appear on Happy's face. 

After Happy had decided to take Gemma up on her offer, Jax spoke his goodbyes before leaving which Happy and myself immediately noticing a worried look on Gemma's face when she watched Jax leaving the house.

"He's doing a real good job, mom. His old man would be proud." Happy commented as I nodded in agreement which left a smile to appear on Gemma's face.

Once the pancakes had been eaten and the dishes had been clean, the three of us headed over to T.M with the boys which by the time we had arrived, Tig and Chibs was quick to help take the boys out of Gemma's car before leading them over to the playground built on the lot.

Placing myself next to Happy, the two of us watched Tig taking Abel over to Unser's dedicated area of the lot which we noticed that he still isn't feeling his best.

"Why don't we let Tig be the godfather of our baby? We both know how much he's been much taking Jax's kids under his wing recently and I can't think of anyone that would be more perfect for the role." Happy asked, looking down at me.

"I couldn't agree with you more - Tig can be the godfather" I grinned before pulling Happy in for a hug.

Time had passed since we had dropped the boys off at the clubhouse which I had decided to placed myself at a table by the bar with Tig and Abel while we played with some toys. I had full intentions to tell Tig about him being godfather right there and than but it was clear that is was not the right time when a familiar blonde had decided to rush into the clubhouse.
