The Mechanic

Part 33

The sun beamed against the clubhouse when Happy and I both arrived at the lot. I wasn't meant to be working today due to it being my day off but since Happy declared that he would have some free time after church, we had both decided that we would spend some time together after he had finished which I didn't think twice about not missing the opportunity to spend time with him and that's why I turned up at the lot on my day off.

With what Happy told me recently about club business, I had kinda pieced together what the club would be discussing with in church today -- that being Clay and his future within the club.

It was no secret to anyone that at some point these issues with Clay would have to discussed within the club and the right actions being put in place for the ex-president to be dealt with accordingly but with everything going on recently, the situation had been put to one side and by briefly seeing the tense conversation that Jax quietly had with Bobby this morning, I figured that Bobby had pushed Jax to deal with this matter today. I knew that Jax wanted to wait until he had evidence that Clay is behind the Nomad attacks before bringing it to the table but it's clear that by with how Bobby has been recently that he couldn't wait any longer for proof to be found which led to him ordering Clay to come forward about the Nomad attacks to the club which for some odd reason, Clay agreed to it.

A few minutes had gone by since the club had headed into church and I couldn't help but wonder what is happening while I waited at the picnic tables. I knew I shouldn't be thinking too much about it especially with me being pregnant but there is nothing that I want more than Clay to get what he deserved but at the same time a small part of me felt sad that Clay had become something so twisted and shying away from someone I had once trusted.

Snapping out of the thoughts, Clay had wandered out of the clubhouse and over to the garage before Chibs headed over to him a few moments later. By the look on Chibs' face, I knew that the vote didn't quite go to plan and when I say it didn't go to plan, Clay didn't meet mayhem which Jax confirmed to be true when he stormed out of the clubhouse meeting both Clay and Chibs at the front of the building.

It didn't take long for Jax to lung himself at the ex-president and take out his anger on him which lead to Clay to fall on top of the picnic table I am currently sat at, leaving me to remove myself from the table so I didn't get hurt before Jax continued to attack Clay. By the time that the rest of the club heard what is currently taking place, they had all surrounded the fight with a few shocked looks appearing on their faces as they watch Jax throwing multiple punching at Clay, who is now currently laying on the floor due to Jax breaking the picnic table.

With great struggle, both Chibs and Tig decided to step in and try to remove Jax from on top of Clay which had taken them multiple tries to do as Jax had managed to get out of their grasp a couple of times. While that was taking place, Happy had gently grabbed hold of me and placed me behind him so I would be protected in case the fight continued any further which it seemed that it didn't as Chibs and Tig had successfully removed their president from Clay.

Shortly after the fight had taken place, it didn't take long for Clay to remove himself from the floor with a little bit of help before things decided to get heated between Bobby and Jax, which I gathered by the look on Bobby's face that although the club had decided to remove Clay's patch, Bobby was the one to turn down for Clay to meet Mayhem which lead Jax attacking Clay. A few of us had stayed in our places surrounding the front of the clubhouse while we are now watching things unfold between Bobby and Jax.

"I had to make a choice for the club and it was the right choice. This shit with Clay has been causing the club a lot of pain and bringing mayhem now will cause more pain." Bobby tried to explain

"What about Letty, huh? What about the pain that Clay brought on her?" Jax hissed

"I understand Letty wasn't in the best of ways with what has been happening over the last few months and she's still trying to heal from that but Clay's time will come, it just can't come now." Bobby stated causing Jax to scoff.
