Waking up to the news of Tara's sudden death had left a sad feeling flow around everyone. I knew that Tara and I hadn't been getting along these past few months but that didn't stop her from holding a dear place in my heart. Even though Jax was the one to find Tara, the deal that he had made with the DA had still gone ahead which he had served some time inside.
With Jax getting out today, I had decided to head over to the shop before he had arrived but it was clear that he beat me to it when I saw him standing outside the shop front with Bobby and Chibs. Getting out the car, I didn't waste anytime in attack him with a bear hug as best as I could which caused him to chuckle at my excitement to see him.
"I don't think you realise how much I've missed you" I smiled
"Really? The welcoming you just gave me wasn't enough to make me realise that?" Jax grinned
The sound of footsteps walking towards us caught our attention causing the conversation to come to an end when we spotted that it was Wendy that was walking towards us. Wendy had went into rehab just before Jax had went inside and knowing Wendy, she must had a good enough reason to leave early.
"What are you doing here?" Jax harshly spoke at the blonde
"I heard what happened to Tara and I wanted to help with the boys. I asked Gemma but she said it was best if I had your permission first." Wendy explained, placing herself in front of us
"If this is some bullshit so you can get Abel to know who you are than you might as well stop while you still can" Jax harshly spoke again
"It's not, I'm just wanting to help you out with the boys, that's it."
"I know it's not my place to say anything but maybe it's best to let her help. There's only so much I can do with me being heavily pregnant and Gemma won't always have Nero around for the help so it will do her some good with an extra pair of hands." I stated catching their attention
"Okay fine but as long as it's just to help out nothing else. Sort it out with Gemma and Letty." Jax declared causing Wendy to nod her thanks
Watching Jax wandering inside the shop with Chibs and Bobby, I offered to give Wendy a lift to Gemma's house so that she could start helping out right away which didn't take long for us to arrive.
"Hey Brooke, this is Wendy. She's gonna be helping us out with the boys" I informed when we walked into the kitchen
While Brooke and Wendy exchange their hellos, I picked up Thomas before introduced him to Wendy after Brooke had left the room.
"Omg he's so cute, he's like a mini Jax" Wendy smiled as she had took him into her arms
"Yeah he is which is unlucky for him" I joked causing us two to laugh
"I just want to apologise to you for the way I acted towards you when you first came around after you got clean. I shouldn't have acted like that but I genuinely mean it when I say I'm proud you and how far you've come." I briefly smiled
"Thank you so much, Letty, you don't realise how much that means to me" Wendy smiled back
"I would really like us to get back to what we once had before the shit storm came, I mean we were really good friends back in the day" I declared, placing myself at the table
"Yeah we were really good friends. Oh god, remember all those pranks you made me pull with you." Wendy chuckled, placing herself opposite
"Those were really good pranks we pulled. Remember that one we did that was meant for Tig but Happy ended up being on the receiving end" I chuckled back
"Oh yes! I remember that, I can almost picture the exact look that Happy had on his face when it happened and when he was trying to find out who did it." Wendy shook her head with laughter
"He was always the best to pull pranks on because of how easily you can wind him up" I slightly smirked
"You know, I still can't get over the fact that you are pregnant with the man that you used to have a crush on so bad when we first met." Wendy commented
"It wasn't that big of a crush, if anything I just admired how much of a good looking man he is." I commented back
"You make out that it was only a small crush, but I remember the way you would secretly look at Happy whenever he would be at the clubhouse when he would be up from Tacoma and how pissed you would be that you couldn't do anything as you were in a relationship with David at the time." Wendy chuckled
"I do admit that I did fancy Happy back when he would be around but regardless of whether I was in a relationship with David or not at the time, it's not like Happy would of allowed it to go any further than a fuck. It took a long time for me and Happy to even get to the point we are at now." I explained with a slight chuckle
"Well I must admit that good things are worth waiting for and you certainly did wait a long time for Happy" Wendy shrugged her shoulders

Celebrating Jax's return, Lyla decided to throw a party at Redwoodie, a porn studio that she had just opened up. I had begged Happy for hours to let me go to the party, declaring that it was my right since Alvarez is going to be there and I hadn't seen him in ages which with Happy being as whipped as he is, had decided to give in but only on one condition - that I stay with a patched member at all times which I agreed to.
Heading inside the building, the confused look on Jax's face had said it all when I made my way further into the crowd before we stood face-to-face
"I didn't think you would be coming with you being pregnant and all." Jax stated with an honest tone.
"Like hell I'm gonna miss a party thrown for you especially one where I can see Alvarez" I smirked catching the Mayan president's attention
"Well it's nice to know that I'm still appreciated by someone" Alvarez smirked before we pulled each in for a hug "I've missed you, Letty"
"I've missed you too" I replied causing Jax to smile at our interaction.
Placing a kiss on Jax's cheek, both Alvarez and I headed over to the couch to have a catch up which didn't take long before we were heavily involved in a conversation.
"How have you been? How's the pregnancy going? And is Happy still treating you right?" Alvarez smiled
"Everything is going perfect, both the pregnancy and things with Happy." I grinned
"I'm glad that you are happy, you deserve it after everything you've been through." Alvarez continued to smile causing my grin to growth wider
Briefly looking around for a second, I noticed T.O., the head of the Grim Bastards heading over to mine and Alvarez's direction causing the conversation between the two of us to come to an end.
"When my guys said that the 'Tacoma Killa' made you his old lady and knocked you up, I thought they were pulling my leg but it is clear now that I was wrong" T.O. laughed once he had joined us on the couch before me and Alvarez had joined in the laughter.
As the night went on, T.O. stayed in the spot he vacated until he was called over by Jax to discuss club business. In which shortly after, Happy comes over saying that he has to head out to deal with club business and will be back later so Rat will drop me off home which I doesn't argue about as I figured that it had something to do with Tara's murder. Getting ready to leave the porn studio with Rat, Happy helps me off the couch before making sure that I get off okay with Rat. Before leaving the studio, I hugged Alvarez goodbye before placing a kiss him on the cheek.
Kissing Happy goodbye, a quick 15 minutes went by before Rat and I had arrived at my house. I didn't bother to invited him inside, despite it being cold as I knew that he had strict orders from Happy.
