Part 55

Pulling into Redwoodie, I removed myself from the driver's seat before getting the baby out of the car. As I wandered into the building with the baby carrier in my hand, I spotted Chibs and Jax sat by the bar. Walking over to them, they both look over at me shocked as they spotted the baby carrier that I am holding before I start standing beside the bar. Placing the baby carrier on top of the bar, Jax and Chibs start obsessing over the baby leaving me to chuckle.

"Where's Happy?" I asked

Jax and Chibs both looked away from the baby and over at each other before answering the question. They both knew that there was going to be a shit storm once I found out the truth. Before they were able to think of what to say to me, Happy and the rest of the guys wandered into the studio, catching the attention of the three of us. Jax ordered everyone into church so Happy and I could have a minute to talk about the baby.

"Where were you? I tried calling you a million times. Were you on club business?" I asked

"She's beautiful. You did a good job" Happy smiled, choosing to ignore the question I asked as he placed himself in front of the baby.

Looking over at Happy, I knew that he was avoiding my gaze as well as the question I had just asked. I knew something was going on as Happy never avoided looking at me, let alone telling me anything.

"Why didn't you ring anyone else if you couldn't get hold of me?" Happy asked

"You were the only one I wanted to get hold of. The only one I wanted to be in the room with me. The only one who should have been in the room with me, so why would I ring anyone else?" I harshly spoke

A silence began to linger between us as Happy decided to continued to avoid my gaze and everything else as he looked away from the baby and at the wall. Watching how Happy was handling the situation, I knew in that moment that all this time I thought Happy was out on club business, it turns out I was actually wrong.

"You weren't on club business, were you?" I questioned

"No I wasn't. It was the furthest thing from being club business." Happy confessed.

"Well I hope she was worth it for you to miss the birth of our child." I snapped

Removing the tears that had previously rolled down my face, I picked up the baby carrier from the bar before walking out of the studio. I knew from that moment, whatever Happy and I had was over and it wasn't going to be fixed which broke my heart into a million pieces.

Happy's POV

Watching Letty walking out of the porn studio with tears practically pouring down her face, left me feeling more guilty than I was before. I knew that I fucked up after that night with the whore but seeing Letty's face when she found out, left me heartbroken as I never wanted to hurt her.

Brushing a hand over my face, a few of the guys started to wander over to the bar as they joined me where I sat. I knew they had questions about what happened which I wasn't quite in the mood for as I knew that they would protect Letty with their lives so I was aware that they wouldn't think twice about sharing a few words.

"What happened?" Jax asked as he lit a cigarette

"I wasn't there when Letty was giving birth to the kid." I confessed

Out of the corner of my eyes, I spotted Tig's eyes burning into the side of my head. I knew that he caught on quicker than the rest of the guys to why I didn't turn up.

"You best tell me you weren't doing what I think you were doing." Tig growled

I didn't have the words to tell him the truth so my face ended up saying it all which caused Tig to snap as Jax muttered 'oh jesus'. Without hesitation, Tig jumped up from his seat before grabbing hold of my t-shirt and shoving me on the floor. Before any of the guys could stop him, Tig had already made himself on top of me before he started to attack my face with his fist. I didn't bother to fight back as I knew I deserved it.
