The Mechanic

Part 22

A couple of days had passed since I had gotten into the car accident and I was only just being released from Saint Thomas. The club was aware of my accident but I had informed Tara that I didn't want the club to see me as I didn't want a lecture about me being drunk while driving.

Luckily Tara had managed to stop them from coming in my room to see me during my time at the hospital. During the car accident, I had managed to come out of it with minor injuries. I had managed to get a black eye, bruised ribs as well as breaking my left arm.

Wandering out of my room with Tara by my side, I found Chibs and Tig sat outside of the room waiting for me. Getting up from their seats, I looked over at them with an guilty expression on my face as they placed themselves in front of me.

"How are you feeling sweetheart?" Tig spoke

"Like shit" I answered

"Here is some painkillers in case you need anything for the pain but I suggest you don't take them with alcohol." Tara commented as she handed the drugs over to Chibs.

"Thank you" I replied

"What happened?" Chibs asked as Tara started to walk off.

"I was drunk"

Both Chibs and Tig briefly looked over at each other before we began to wander out of Saint Thomas. Things fell silent between Chibs, Tig and I as we walked through the hallways of Saint Thomas to which the silence was broken as a familiar face stopped us in our tracks. I knew from the moment that I saw his face again that the guys was going to ask questions about him which I was not in the mood for.

"Jesus Letty! Are you okay?" David Loki asked as he noticed my injuries

"I'm fine" I answered

"What happened?" David asked again

"I...erm... was in a car accident."

"Well I hope you get better soon." David spoke leaving me to hum in return.

"Since I will be in town for a while, we should go on that catch up lunch date thing that we had planned a few months back. I miss how close we used to be." David spoke up again.

I knew how close he was referring to as it was not a secret to ourselves and everyone else around us how close we were in our relationship but quite frankly I wasn't interested in getting back into an relationship with him. Like ever.

"I can't go on that date thingy with you as I am married to Happy" I confessed leaving shocked looks to appear on Chibs and Tig's face.

"Oh shit! Congratulations!" David spoke with the same shocked look that appeared on Chibs and Tig's faces as I nodded my thanks.

Saying our goodbyes, David wandered off further into the hospital as Chibs, Tig and I continued to leave Saint Thomas. I knew by me lying about being married to Happy in front of Chibs and Tig that they were going to tell to tell Happy about it, let alone questioning me about it but that didn't make care enough to stop the lie from coming out of my mouth.

Arriving back at the clubhouse, I wandered inside to the bar as Jax wasn't around to stop me from drinking. Grabbing a bottle of vodka and a shot glass from behind the bar, Chibs and Tig placed themselves around the bar as I poured my first shot.

"Are you going to tell us what the whole being married to Happy thing was about?" Chibs asked

"I know that David is still in love with me and he would of tried his hardest to rekindle our relationship but I don't feel the same way that he does so I knew that the only way he wouldn't of tried if I told him that I am married to Happy." I explained before letting the shot slip in my mouth.
