Since Jax had lifted the lockdown yesterday, the daily routine of me helping take care of Jax's kids with Gemma and Wendy as well as Brooke is back on track which I am glad about as I love spending time with the boys. Making myself a cup of coffee in Gemma's kitchen, I noticed Gemma trailing in the house with Happy and Rat behind her before she headed into her bedroom while Happy and Rat placed themselves in the kitchen.
"I thought you were out on club business" I commented when Happy stood next to me before taking a sip of my cup of coffee
"I am but Jax wants Gemma up at the cabin to deal with a family issue, I'll tell you later about as I don't have much time to go into detail right now." Happy explained leaving me to nod
Coming back out of her room, Gemma heads into the kitchen with a couple of bags before heading back out with Happy and Rat following once which before doing so, Happy kissed me goodbye. After the door shut, I placed myself at the table where I noticed something wrong with Brooke.
"Everything okay?" I softly spoke, looking at the girl who is cleaning some dishes
"It's Rat. When it's just us two, he treats me with respect and is nothing but nice but he's a different person when the club is involved." Brooke shrugged
"Look the club is a complicated thing that not many people can wrap their around but it's a brotherhood and being a dick to women can sometimes comes with the territory, which I am not saying that it's okay for them to treat women like that but that's just how things are and knowing Rat, he's probably just playing it up to the boys and doesn't actually mean it." I explained before my cup of coffee to my lips
"But Happy doesn't treat you like that. From what I've seen, he worships the ground that you walk on."
"Brooke...listen...my relationship with Happy is completely different to yours with Rat and I wouldn't read too much into this situation, I don't think it's anything to worry about. " I reassured leaving Brooke to nod

Around mid-morning, I had received a call from Happy informing me that he will be staying at the cabin tonight and that it's best if I stay at Gemma's house which I agreed with. Cleaning up the dishes after dinner had finished, Wendy and I began catching while Brooke tended to Thomas with Abel heading into his room.
"You know, you should cook for more often because you are a really good cook" Wendy smirked, placing a plate on the counter
"Not you as well. I might as well open my own restaurant with how much demands I am getting from Tig, Happy and now you for me to cook some food whenever possible." I giggled
"Hey -- I haven't had the chance to ask you how Mickey is doing. God I haven't seen him in years, what's he been doing recently?" Wendy smiled
"Mickey is currently in jail, he'll be getting out soon but apart from that, he's doing just fine" I smiled back
"I should have known, Mickey was always causing trouble from what I remember" Wendy laughed
"That I can agreed on" I laughed
Once we had finished cleaning, I went to check on Abel which walking into Abel's room, I spotted him laying on his bed watching TV which he begged me to join me on watching the film with him. It didn't take long before both me and Abel to fall asleep on his bed which Wendy noticed causing her to place a blanket over us before settling Thomas into bed and turning in for the night herself.
