The Mechanic

Part 34

With things being quiet around the garage, I had decided to get some work done in the office since Gemma wasn't around today and there wasn't that many cars needing to be fixed which with that being said, I wasn't completely alone in getting the work done, I thankfully had the help of Chucky.

Although things are quiet around the garage, things weren't as quiet with the club. With what Happy told me this morning, the club is heading out to deal with some dog fighting ring which I knew wouldn't end well with Tig since he had bad history with dog fighting.

At some point in sorting out all the paperwork in the office, I didn't notice Tara walking into the office. It wasn't until Chucky had walked out of the room and Tara had sat in the seat that Chucky had previously sat in that I ended up noticing the women.

"Sorry I didn't hear you come in." I chuckled, pulling my attention away from the paperwork and to the women sat in front of me.

"I can understand with all this paperwork why you didn't end up hearing me" Tara chuckled back, briefly pointing at the paperwork scattered across the desk.

"If you have coming looking for Jax, he isn't here -- him and the club ain't due back just yet." I stated

"I know but I had decided to come and see you before Jax comes back" Tara smiled

"Oh yeah, about anything interesting?" I smiled back

"I have an offer from Oregon Hospital. If this was a few month ago, I know there would be no problems with me going with Jax and the boys but with everything going on with the club, Jax is a bit hesitant about going." Tara explained

"Like I told you and Jax months ago when you two first planned on leaving Charming, I completely understand why you want to leave and I probably understand more this time around with me being pregnant but I can also see why Jax doesn't want to leave the club at this point in time. I'm not saying that Jax doesn't want to go with you to Oregon but I think a big part of him wants to stay and fix this club which he most likely thinks that it's his duty to do so as his father was co-founder of this club and he would feel like be letting his father down if he lets the club die." I commented.

"I agree with you on that and that's why I chose to stand by him when he decided to become president but I don't know how much more violence and danger the clubs brings that I can take. I keep thinking to myself 'when it the next bad thing going to happen?'" Tara confessed

"Well regardless of what happens, I'm here for both you and the boys." I slightly smiled causing Tara to smile back.

The sound of Harleys riding into the lot caught both mine and Tara's attention causing the two of us to removed ourselves from the office and make our way over to the bikes. Jax was the first to get off the bike before wandering over to us to which I gave him and Tara the office to talk after I had given him a hug.

Looking around the clubhouse once I had stepped inside, I noticed Tig sitting on the couch alone with the rest of the guys nowhere to be seen which I figured that they had other things to take care of. Making my way over to the couch, I noticed that he was emotionally in worse shape than ever which lead him to decide to latch himself onto me when I placed myself next to him.

"Everything okay, Tiggy?" I asked softly

"After we dealt with the dog fighting shit, Jax had some business to take care of and said that he only needed me for it and ordered the rest of the club to deal with something else. When we got to the place, Pope and his guys were there which I thought that Jax had gave me up to Pope and I was gonna get killed. It turned out that Jax made it seem like that was going to happen, just so he can out-smart Pope. Jax let me kill Pope and gave me Clay's gun to do it which I only figured that out after I pulled the trigger. By using Clay's gun, everyone will believe that Clay was the one to kill Pope and not me." Tig confessed
