KAIS POV
I woke up to a horrible headache. I wasn't even drunk last night. I opened my eyes and Amelia was asleep next to me. Crap. I remembered last night. I told her how I felt. She kissed me, and fell asleep next to me. Crap. I'm ruining this. We should just be friends. Right? I mean who dates their roommate. I got up and started some homework. I needed to distract myself. Amelia and I can't date. We're roommates. What if we break up? It'll make things awkward. I already made things awkward. After about an hour Amelia rolled over and woke up. Shit I'm going to have to say something.
"Good morning," she smiled.
"Good morning," I said. She did look so adorable. She was wearing an oversized tshirt and her hair was messy.
"What are you up to today?" She asked.
"Probably going to hit the gym," I said.
"Cool," she said.
"You can join if you want," I said.
"Okay," she nodded. I got changed for the gym and Amelia came out of the bathroom. She was in a sports bra and gym shorts. She grabbed a sweatshirt but I noticed her abs before she put it on. She was hot. I wanted her. We walked downstairs silently and I felt bad.
"What do you do at the gym?" I asked her.
"I usually just run," Amelia shrugged, "you?"
"I lift and run," I said.
"Nice," Amelia said.

AMELIAS POV
I messed up. I kissed them last night and they were slightly drunk. I shouldn't have done that. I don't even know if Kai remembers. Or if they do they're acting like they don't. I tried to push it out of my mind as I got on the treadmill and started running. I put my AirPods in decided not to think about it for a little while.

I was finished running and I saw Kai lifting over at the other corner of the gym. Them working out was really attractive. I don't regret kissing them, I just regret messing things up. I shouldn't have done it last night. I grabbed my bag and sat on the bench while Kai finished. After a few minutes Kai came over to me.
"Ready to go?" They asked.
"Yeah," I nodded. We walked down to the lobby and out the front door. We walked back to the dorm and Kai got in the shower first. I got my shower stuff ready and Kai finished up. I got in the shower and started washing my hair. I felt so guilty about yesterday. I totally didn't mean to mess things up. Kai was probably drunk last night and didn't mean anything they said. I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around myself and quickly got dressed. I walked out into the room and Kai was in bed typing something on their computer. I sat down at my desk and started my homework too. I opened my notebook and started taking some notes for my introduction to neuroscience class. It took me about half an hour and then I started a few modules for my anatomy class. I was working for about 2 hours.
"Amelia," Kai broke me from my thoughts.
"Yeah?" I said as I looked up from my computer.
"I was going to go to the library if you wanted to join," Kai offered.
"Uh yeah sure," I said and grabbed a few of my things. We walked to the library and sat down at a table together.

KAIS POV
Amelia always fell silent when she was upset. I noticed that about her. It was only the second week of classes but we had a lot of work so I made her come to the library with me. Does she feel bad about the kiss? I wanted to kiss her. I wasn't drunk I remembered it. She was sitting next to me and was writing something down.
"What are you working on?" I asked.
"Anatomy," she said, "you?"
"Intro to medical research," I said.
"Cool," Amelia said. We worked in silence for a little while and eventually Amelia got up.
"I'm going to go get coffee do you want some?" She asked.
"I'll come with you," I said.
"Okay," she smiled. There it was. Her smile. It was so gorgeous. She was so perfect. We walked over to the nearest coffee shop and got two coffees. We returned to our table and Amelia sat down next to me.
"I'm tired," she chuckled.
"Me too," I said.

It was almost 10 PM and Amelia was getting ready for bed. She had been pretty quiet today. I was worried about her, I was also worried about us. She kissed me last night and now I feel like she doesn't even want to talk to me. Was it me? Did she change her mind?
"Amelia?" I said. She looked over at me and I could see the sadness on her face.
"Are you mad at me?" She asked me.
"Mad at you? Why would I be mad at you?" I asked her.
"Because I kissed you last night," she said, "you had been drinking a little and I feel guilty about that. I shouldn't have kissed you I'm sorry."
"Oh," I said, "oh uh it's okay."
"You're not mad?" She said confused.
"No," I said, "I'm not mad about the kiss."
"Oh, okay," Amelia said.
"Are you mad about the kiss?" I asked her.
"No," she said, "I'm just mad at myself because I feel like I'm messing things up."
"You're not," I said, "I liked kissing you."
"You did?" She said.
"Yeah," I chuckled, "You're really pretty."
"Thanks," she blushed, "I liked kissing you too."
"So what does this mean?" I said.
"I don't know," she said.
"Well," I said and moved closer to her. I pushed a piece of hair behind her ear and she smiled. I leaned down and kissed her. I pulled her waist close to me as she wrapped her arms around my neck. I deepened the kiss and Amelia pulled me closer to her. I never wanted to let go.
