AMELIAS POV
"Kai get up," I nudged them. They opened their eyes and looked at me sleepily.
"We have to get Derek and Meredith in an hour," I chuckled.
"I know," Kai said. They looked at me and smiled. I was wearing their shirt from last night. They wrapped their arms around me and kissed my cheek.
"I love you," Kai said.
"I love you too," I smiled, "but we have to get going." We got dressed and I brushed my teeth and put my shoes on. We grabbed our jackets and walked down the stairs.
"Are you totally going to be obsessed with Meredith?" I joked.
"I am not," Kai said.
"Mhm," I said.
"I still can't believe you didn't tell me Meredith Grey was your sister in law," Kai said.
"If you're so obsessed with her you could have figured it out," I joked.
"Shut up," Kai chuckled. We walked to the main entrance of campus and I saw them. I waved and smiled.
"How are you?" Meredith smiled and hugged me.
"Good," I chuckled.
"Oh and you must be Kai it's so nice to meet you!" Meredith smiled and hugged Kai. I smiled as I went over to Derek.
"Nice campus you got here kiddo," Derek said.
"Thanks dad," I joked and he nudged me.
"And Derek this is Kai," I smiled.
"It's nice to meet you Kai," Derek said, "Amy talks about you all the time."
"Oh does she?" Kai joked.
"Shut up," I chuckled.
"Are you guys hungry?" Meredith asked.
"Yes," Derek said.
"I was not asking you," Meredith chuckled and looked at Kai and I.
"Yeah," I nodded. We walked to the nearest dining place and sat down.
"So how was your flight?" I asked.
"Good," Meredith said, "except Derek snored the entire time." I chuckled and Derek rolled his eyes.
"I was only asleep for 3 hours," Derek defended, "it was early okay?"
"Sure," I chuckled.
"How is everyone's classes?" Derek asked.
"They're great dad thank you," I said.
"Shut up," Derek said and made a face.
"They're always like this," Meredith chuckled as she looked at Kai.
"Are not," I said.
"Yeah okay," Meredith chuckled, "Kai where are you from?"
"Minnesota," I said, "With my parents and my sister."
"That's nice," Meredith said, "is your sister older or younger?"
"Older she moved out recently after she graduated college," Kai said.
"That's nice," Meredith said.
"Yeah," Kai nodded.
"Derek you know who works here?" I said.
"Thomas Koracick," He chuckled.
"You should go visit," I said.
"Have you seen him?" Derek asked.
"In passing," I said.
"Who?" Kai said.
"This guy that came to work at the hospital a few years ago, super arrogant and annoying, kind of like Amelia," Derek shrugged.
"Shut your mouth," I said.
"Derek be nice to her," Meredith chuckled.
"I am," Derek joked.
"I can make you leave," I joked.
"Kai is she always like this?" Derek said.
"Don't answer that," I laughed and Kai chuckled.

The four of us were walking around downtown. It was really nice to have Meredith and Derek here, and I loved that they loved Kai. I grabbed Kai's hand and they pulled me close to them as we were walking.
"I love you," I smiled.
"I love you too," they said.
"Are you having a good time?" I asked.
"Yeah, Meredith and Derek are very nice," they said.
"Yeah you fan obsessed Meredith Grey fan," I said.
"Shut up I am not," they said.
"Yeah okay," I laughed. They put their arm around me and I smiled. I was so happy.

MEREDITHS POV
"Look at her she's so happy," I smiled as I looked at Derek. The four of us were hanging out downtown doing some shopping, and Amelia and Kai were a little bit ahead of us. Kai had their arm around Amelia and they were walking together.
"Yeah, Kai seems really good for her," Derek said, "I'm glad she's happy."
"Me too," I said.
"I wish mom saw that," Derek said.
"Do you know if they've spoken?" I asked.
"They haven't," Derek said, "I don't think Amy wants to see her ever again."
"I don't blame her," I said, "poor thing. She didn't deserve any of that. I'm just glad we could be there and we were close enough she could stay with us."
"Me too," Derek said. We got closer to them and Amelia leaned up and kissed Kai. They were cute.
"Hey make out on your own time," Derek joked as he nudged Amelia.
"You are my most annoying brother," Amelia said.
"I'm your only brother," Derek said.
"And the most annoying," Amelia said.
