KAIS POV
Finals was rough. I had one done and three more to go. Plus a final project. I was sitting at the library with Amelia. She looked visibly stressed but I didn't want to bother her. She has her AirPods in and was writing notes in her notebook. I was doing the same. I had to put together a PowerPoint presentation for one of my classes. And present it. God I had public speaking. That's why I want to go into research. Nobody asks you to present in research. You can write it down and publish. I was halfway done I just needed some more details to add.

After about four hours of work I was tired. It was almost 10 pm. I looked at Amelia and she looked tired, but was still working. I was jealous of her. She had way too much stamina, she could do work for hours and not give up. Or at least show it.
"Hey," I said softly, not to disrupt the other people around us.
"Yeah?" Amelia asked.
"Wanna get out of here?" I asked.
"10 minutes, yeah," she said. I nodded as I started packing up my stuff. We started leaving the library and I put my arm around her.
"I'm so tired," she chuckled.
"Me too," I said.
"I need a shower I smell," she chuckled. We unlocked the door to the dorm and Amelia walked into the bathroom.
"Kai?" She asked.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Do you need a shower?" She asked.
"I could shower," I joked.
"Mhm come join me," she said. I could tell she was sleepy.
"Okay," I said. We both got in the shower and she smiled at me. I wrapped my arms around her and she leaned into me, letting the hot water hit us.
"I might fall asleep," She said.
"Amelia," I chuckled as I cupped her face and pecked her lips. She smiled as she looked up at me.

"Fuck Kai get up," Amelia mumbled. I opened my eyes and the fire alarm was going off. Ugh. It happens all the time in dorms. I looked over and Amelia was throwing on a jacket and some shoes. I did the same and grabbed my phone. 5am. Ugh. What was anyone doing at 5am. We walked down the stairs and out the back and everyone looked just as annoyed as us. Amelia sat down in the grass and I sat down next to her.
"How in the world did you not hear that?" Amelia chuckled, "you were passed out."
"No clue," I chuckled, "I mean I heard it once I was awake."
"It's supposed to wake you up, not me," Amelia chuckled, "can't take you anywhere."
"Shut up," I chuckled.
"Ugh! I hate this shit," Charlotte said as she sat down in front of us and faced us.
"You don't even live in our building what are you doing here?" Amelia chuckled.
"Well," Charlotte said, "Cooper lives in your building."
"Oh my god shut up no way," Amelia said.
"Don't be so loud you idiot," Charlotte said.
"Are you guys dating what?" I chuckled.
"I don't know," Charlotte said, "but I was enjoying my sleep and now I'm sitting in the grass at 5am."
"Now you awkwardly have to go back up there with him," Amelia chuckled.
"Ugh you're right. You know not everyone can be as lucky as you two and live with your partner," Charlotte said.
"I'm sure Violet would make out with you if you asked," Amelia joked. I nudged her and she chuckled.
"I hate you sometimes," Charlotte chuckled.
"Liar," Amelia said.
"Kai you have your hands full with this one," Charlotte said.
"I'm aware," I chuckled.
"Without me you would still be asleep right now," Amelia said, "Kai didn't hear the fire alarm."
"How? That thing is piercing! It scared me I almost fell out of the bed," Charlotte said.
"I don't know I guess I was tired," I chuckled. They let us back in the building and Charlotte ran off to be with Cooper. Amelia and I walked back to the dorm and she crawled back into my bed.
"And what are you doing here?" I joked.
"There's enough room for you," she said and patted the space next to her. I climbed into bed and she immediately used my chest as a pillow. She was adorable.
"Good night," she said cutely.
"Good night," I said and kissed the top of her head.
