AMELIAS POV
The emergency landing was rough. It was a lot of turbulence. We were somewhere in Indiana. I have no idea. The airline rented some rooms the passengers could share before we get on another plane early tomorrow. It was still really storming out. We hadn't gotten off the plane yet. I was getting kind of antsy. Not only did I hate planes but I hated storms. I was broken out of my thoughts when I felt Kai's hand on my thigh. I looked at them and they looked at me sympathetically.
"Hey it's okay, we're on the ground. I just texted my mom and she said it's okay, she can come pick us up tomorrow morning after we fly to Minnesota, and we have a room for tonight," Kai said reassuringly, "you okay?"
"Yeah," I nodded, "just antsy."
"I know," they said and wrapped me in a hug, "hopefully soon we can get off this plane and take a warm shower or something."
"That sounds nice," I admitted. Kai kissed my head and I leaned into them. We eventually got our luggage and room keys. Kai opened the door to the room and we walked in. It was actually a pretty nice room.
"Oh my god there's a bath tub can we take a bath please?" I asked Kai. They smiled and nodded.
"We can do that," Kai said. We threw our luggage in the room and both got undressed and got in the bath. I sat in front of Kai and laid back on them.
"This is nice," Kai said, "just you and me."
"Yeah," I smiled, "it is nice."
"You alright after the flight? I didn't mean to scare you so much when you woke up I was just panicking," Kai said, "I guess it wasn't that much of an emergency."
"It's okay Kai," I said as I grabbed their hand and kissed it, "you acted responsibly and I appreciated it. You don't have to apologize."
"I know," Kai said, "I know you just hate flying."
"So do you," I said, "are you okay?"
"Yeah," Kai said, "I'm okay."
"So what do you want to do all night?" I asked as I felt their hands start to wonder.
"I don't know," Kai shrugged, "maybe go to bed or something." I chuckled as I felt their hands go down further.
"I feel like your hands might have different plans," I said as I looked back at them.
"Maybe," they smirked.

"Kai," I said softly. My phone alarm just went off but Kai slept through it. I looked down and I was wearing their shirt from last night. God last night was amazing, I hope our neighbors didn't hear us.
"Hm what?" Kai mumbled.
"We have to go catch our flight," I said.
"I got like 2 hours of sleep," Kai complained.
"Well whose fault is that?" I joked. Kai opened their eyes and chuckled.
"Yours," Kai joked and kissed me, "kept me up all night."
"I think you enjoyed it," I said.
"I did," Kai said, "but I'm very tired now."
"You can sleep on the plane," I said and ran my fingers through their hair. They nodded and we got ready. We walked to our new gate and we both ordered a coffee. I sat down next to Kai and they put their head on my shoulder.
"God my mom is going to be so mad I'm so tired," Kai chuckled.
"It's okay, sleep on the plane," I said softly and kiss their head.

KAIS POV
I opened my eyes and my head was in Amelias lap.
"Good morning," I heard her voice sweetly say above a whisper. I looked up at her and smiled.
"Good morning," I said.
"Someone was tired," she chuckled. We were still on the plane.
"How much longer do we have?" I asked.
"Landing in 5," she said and kissed my forehead, "sit up." I sat up straight and she held my hand.
"You're adorable when you sleep," Amelia said.
"I'm sure I'm not," I chuckled.
"You were," Amelia said.
"At least I'm not tired," I shrugged.
"That's good," Amelia said and kissed me. I smiled as I pushed a piece of hair behind her ear.
"I'm glad you came home with me," I said.
"Me too," Amelia smiled, "I love you."
"I love you too," I said.
