AMELIAS POV
"Kai?" I said quietly.
"Yeah?" Kai said. After the party we were laying in Kai's bed ready to fall asleep.
"Are you asleep?" I asked.
"No," Kai chuckled, "I just answered you. What's up?" I looked at them and they sat up.
"You know so much about me and I know maybe a fraction about you," I chuckled.
"Alright you want some big dark secret or something?" Kai chuckled as they pulled me into their arms.
"I don't know," I chuckled, "I just feel like I spew all my emotions and problems everywhere." Kai ran their hand through my hair and I smiled.
"Well what do you want to know," Kai shrugged.
"I don't know," I chuckled.
"Well," Kai laughed, "I could tell you about the time I accidentally skipped school."
"Accidentally?" I chuckled.
"Okay so picture this. It's Friday but I forgot to set my alarm. I wake up and both my parents already went to work, and I think it's Saturday. I go through a whole day thinking it's the weekend until my mother comes home and asked where I was all day. I told her here because it's the weekend. She then told me that neither her nor my father work on Saturday's. So I skipped school for no reason and got a three day weekend. It's a stupid story but I think it's funny," Kai said.
"Thanks," I nodded.
"I don't have too many earth shattering secrets," Kai shrugged, "besides my sexuality, and gender identity, which of both you are fully aware of."
"True," I chuckled, "thanks for sharing."
"No problem," Kai said. I looked at them and in the darkness of the room I could make out their face. I leaned forward and kissed them passionately. Kai grabbed my waist and pulled me close to them. We started making out when I felt Kai's hand slip under my shirt and we both froze.
"Sorry I didn't mean to," Kai stopped.
"It's okay," I said.
"Okay," Kai said. We both sat there for a minute in silence.
"Can I ask you a question?" Kai asked.
"Go for it," I said. Kai laid down next to me and I looked over at them.
"Have you ever had sex?" Kai asked.
"Yes," I said, "have you?"
"No," Kai said, "that's why I froze I just, uh."
"It's okay," I said and held their hand, "it's totally okay."
"You're sure?" Kai asked.
"Absolutely," I nodded, "if you're not ready it's okay."
"Okay," Kai said. I kissed their forehead and they smiled.
"Thanks for being understanding," They said.
"No need to thank me," I said and kissed their cheek, "I love you."
"I love you too," Kai said. I snuggled into them and they kissed my head. Everything with them felt right.
-
I opened my eyes and Kai was gone. I got out of bed and I was still in Kai's sweatshirt from last night. I rubbed my eye and ran my fingers through my hair as I walked over to my desk.

Amelia -
Went for a morning jog, be back in an hour or so.
Love you

Kai

I smiled as I kept the note on my desk and went to jump in the shower. I figured Kai would be back soon since I slept in. Thankfully it was Saturday so no classes. I washed myself and my hair and wrapped a towel around myself. I walked into the room and the door was opening.
"Oh hey you're up sorry," Kai said as they closed the door.
"It's okay, how was your run?" I asked.
"Good," Kai said, "I ran 7 miles."
"That's awesome," I said.
"Yeah I'm gonna grab a quick shower," Kai said.
"Okay," I nodded. I started making coffee as Kai was in the shower. I grabbed my planner and planned out the homework and projects I had to do today. It was always a lot of school work but at least I got to spend time with Kai at the library.
