You Belong With Us - Tara/Beth

Tara sat her knees curled up into herself, what had she done? How could she have fallowed such a man? A killer and a monster and yet he had played it off as if he was the one who was wronged the one who was abused and the one who had lost everything because of this group.

She had been so wrong.

And she was willing to die for the mistake of following. Willing to fall because of her own choices. She fully accepted that she had chosen the wrong path.

As she curled up in herself two voices called to her. "Hey! Come on don't die there come on!"

Tara looked up at a beautIful blonde that looked around her age and a Korean man. "Just leave me.. I don't deserve pitty." Tara sighed trying to hide her face.

"You clearly looked like you didn't want to be there anymore after he did what he did." Glenn said offering his hand. The blonde nodded.

"My daddy wouldn't want you to die out here like he did." Beth said standing her ground. "Now come on!"

"I wasn't able to stop him from killing that man..."

"Get up and help us find Maggie and you'll make up for it. Daddy would want her found." Beth snapped.

"The old man was your father?!" Tara asked with concern and guilt. "I'm so sorry."

"You didn't know." Beth said trying to be strong, Glenn rubbed her arm. "Just help me find my sister."

Sitting in the back of the truck their newest companions Abraham, Rosita, and Eugene drove they talked about their plans.

About finding Maggie.

About their family and how they would reunite with them.

They were determined to reunite their family together no matter what they had to face.

Beth fell asleep on Tara's shoulder, at first Tara was tense but Glenn smiled at her. Both of them were so kind and willing to let her be a member regardless of what had happened with Philip.

Tara smiled as Beth inched closet in her sleep, Tara wrapped her arm around the blonde. This felt right.

"They had to go in there." Beth said pointing inside the tunnel.

"We won't be going in there," Abraham said, "so good luck. We would love to have you on our mission if you change your mind."

To his suggestion he got a chorus of replies.

"We are finding my wife."

"She's my sister."

"I won't leave their side."

Abraham nodded seeing the bond they had, if he would have been told Tara was new to their team he would have called bull shit.

"Alright well we will see you around I hope. Find your family then."

Rosita and Eugene waved, but they both wanted to stay and help them find their family.

Tara and Beth held hands as they made their way into the tunnel. Glenn took the lead to protect Beth, he knew if anytbing happened to her Maggie would be devestated.

They crept over the rubble the girls holding hands as they pushed through the dead. One reached for Beth and Tara quickly killed it and scooped her up after she fell and twisted her ankle.

"I've got you it's okay." Tara promised carrying her through the dark.

Glenn kept up the front while Beth held her gun while Tara held her. As they made their way through the tunnel they heard voices.

"Maggie!" Glenn yelled rushing forward to tackle her in a loving embrace. "Oh my god thank goodness."

Maggie kissed him softly peppering his face with kisses. "Thank god. Bethy?"

"Right here Maggie." The blonde smiled as Tara carried her forward. "Tara helped us."

"Thank you for helping them find us. Thank you." Maggie chimed as she went to hug her sister. Tara smiled.

"I can go now..." Tara said as she helped Glenn wrap Beth's ankle.

"No you're a part of our family now, and we haven't found them all. So we need you to help us find them too."

Walking for what felt like forever hand in hand with Beth, Tara finally felt like she had a place, had a family after losing it all.

She and Beth had gotten friendly after being in close quarters for so long.

Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita joined back up with them.

Thankfully they decided to go the opposite direction then terminus. It felt safer they didn't trust it and they'd found everyone now.

Tara and Beth had begun a relationship together. They were happy, and Tara had become an asset to the team.

Their family was back together and now they had Tara and she'd proved herself.
