In a Pinch - TWD

Daryl was busy getting dressed for the day, he smiled as he adjusted his top on the mirror and did up the second button to the top. He pulled on his jeans and then headed to the living room.

"What are you doing?" Carl asked as he stepped into the room.

"Getting ready to start breakfast what are you doing?" Daryl asked eyeing his son.

Carl didn't respond as he stepped up and pinched Daryl's arm. "Son of a bitch kid what the hell?!"

Carl snickered. Rick stepped into the room Judith bouncing in his arms, she was in a sage green dress and her hair was up on little green bows. Daryl eyed his family for a moment and then blinked in realization. Rick sat Judith down who toddled to her brother for an up.

Rick stepped to Daryl kissing his cheek and pinching his ass. "Rick!"

"You're not wearing green baby, best get it on before we go to your brothers for dinner. He'd leave you with so many pinches you'd cry."

Daryl huffed and stepped back into their room, well he was going to wear this.

He went through every outfit he had. "Babe!" Daryl

yelled.

"What is it Dare?" Rick asked as he walked into their room, he smiled admiring Daryl's shirtless frame.

"I don't have any damn green."

"Well isn't that a shame. I'll find you something put your shirt back on." Daryl huffed as he put the buttons back up.

He dressed and guarded his arms as he walked out of their bedroom. Carl came up to inspect him. "Where's the green?"

"Don't got any kid." Daryl replied preparing to fight him off.

Judith and Rick returned from the other room. "Before you pinch your dad Judith's got something for him."

"Here dadda." Judith smiled as she placed a green beaded shamrock necklace over his head. He smiled and kissed her forehead.

"Thanks darlin'"

"Dang it." Carl grunted as he sat and waited for breakfast, Rick and Daryl made pancakes and Rick being the kind of dad he was dyed them green with food coloring.

They sat together and ate, Daryl fed Judith her pancakes coaxing the color from her every few bites. "What color are they sweet-pea?"

"Gween."

"That's right baby green."

"Gween." She giggled clapping her hands together. Daryl smirked feeding her another bite. The family sat together talking about plans.

"I'll drop Carl off at school, drop by Shane and Lori's and pick up those cupcakes, and then head back home."

"Alright Judy and I can maintain the fort. Can't we baby girl?"

She nodded reaching over to Carl who kissed her forehead and grabbed his backpack. "See you dad!"

"Stay safe done pinch all the kids without green tops."

"Yes sir."

"I'll pinch you if you do."

"I'm in green." Carl said proudly.

"Not everyone has green Carl, and that won't stop me from getting you." Daryl snickered, Rick kissed his forehead and headed out for the day.

Judith smiled as Daryl picked her up and got her set up on the floor with her toys. His phone buzzed and he picked up quick. "Little brother hey," Merle smiled. "You guys bringing dessert and rolls still right?"
