Sweet little Jester giving her mother a gift before she has to deal with her clients for the day

----------

Jester was busy and determined, she was laying on her stomach, her little tail twisting side to side. Her tongue stuck out the side of her fangs as she focused on her drawing. A figure in a green cloak sat over her, a smile hidden behind his cloak.

"Do you think she will love it?" The little blue tiefling asked as she held up her drawing.

"Of course she will, you are her everything, and your art skills are impeccable." The hooded figure of the Traveler spoke. He ruffled her dark blue hair between her curled horns before disappearing without a trace. Jester smiled at the words her friend had given her. She jumped from the bed drawing in hand. She raced down to the kitchen, she carefully climbed on-top of the counter top to grab a plate and cup. She rummaged through selves to collect the sweetest pastries they had and set one on the plate, she filled a cup with wine. She squeaked with a giggle as she spilt some out of the bottle.

She cleaned it up and raced back up the stairs, careful not to spill the glass. She knocked on her mothers door. "Ruby!"

Marion laughed hearing her daughter's small voice. She made her way to the door and opened it slowly. "Yes, my sapphire?"

"I have a gift for you," the little girl replied with a smile spread across her face. Her tail was twisting as her mother looked her over. Marion gasped in surprise as her daughter lifted up the plate in her hands. Marion took it and the glass with a smile on her face.

Her dark hair flowed over her shoulders, the jewels on her horns jingled as she bent down to kiss her daughter's forehead. The two stepped into her bedroom, Jester climbed onto her mothers bed. She was lucky to have these minutes alone with her mother before clients came over for the holiday at hand. She grinned as Marion pulled the pastry apart and gave the other half to her child.

Jester didn't hesitate to enjoy the sweet, she enjoyed it very much. She loved spending this time with her mom, she didn't always get to do that. Didn't always get alone time with the person she loved more than anyone else in the entire world. "Thank you my love." Marion smiled as she rubbed her cheek with her thumb softly.

"Oh Oh I have one more for you!" The young Tiefling smiled as she pulled a drawing out from behind her shirt. Marion chuckled knowing Jester would have wanted it to be a special surprise.

Marion was handed the photo, she took it in her hands and examined the drawing. It was a drawing of herself and her daughter. Cuddled together under a tree, Marion smiled as she ran her fingers along the drawn lines. "This is beautiful my love."

"You really like it?" Jester asked hopeful, her big eyes round with hope.

"Yes," she wanted to cultivate the artist in her daughter, and wanted to ensure that she continued to work on her skills. "It is lovely, I would love to sit under a tree with you and talk about the clouds. Maybe tomorrow, you know I have business later."

"Yes of course momma," she smiled big, "that's why I brought you these, so you can have strength and not be worried about thinking straight while you deal with your silly clients." She giggled as Marion took a sip of wine.

"Thank you my sapphire. This was a lovely holiday surprise. Will keep me smiling throughout the day." She kissed Jester's forehead again. "I really do appreciate it."

Jester smiled, she hugged Marion around the waist before running off to draw some more pictures for her mother when she came to tuck her in and sing to her before bed. Marion smiled holding the drawing Jester had made for her, Jester was her greatest treasure. Her entire world, and Jester felt the same of her mother.
