Lambert was exhausted, his hands were shaking and he knew that he wasn't doing well by any account. He hadn't had any sleep during his hunt, but he knew he needed some and he needed some safety.

He saw a cave in the distance and raced towards it, he prayed there was nothing in it. He slid in and sighed as he noticed it wasn't too deep but was good enough for shelter through the night.

He worked on making a fire to be sure there would be light and heat. He wrapped himself up once the fire was going, he was just thankful to have found the cave. He leaned back and closed his eyes knowing very well that he was safe for the time being. The fire continued to burn, the flames lighting up the stone that surrounded him. The orange and yellows were calming enough to allow the Witcher to sleep.

Lambert tossed and turned but his eyes rarely opened until the fire burnt out and the sun came pouring into the cave.

He sat upright and smiled, the cave was a good reprieve for the time being. He pulled out some jerky from his bag and sat back against the stone, he looked up and noticed paintings that covered the stone in a beautiful array of colors.

Lamberts eyes widened in surprise as he slowly stood up looking over the paintings on the wall.

Ancient people had clearly once been within seeking shelter just as he had once before. He ran his fingers over the paintings. "Isn't that just something." He said to himself softly. He slowly began to pack up to go back on his hunt, he smiled softly thankful for the reprieve of the cave.
