So sorry for the delay in updating! I've been sick all week with an unbearable migraine but here's an update now! I hope you enjoy and against, sorry the wait!

I'm the voice inside your head you refuse to hear
I'm the face that you have to face mirrorin' your stare
I'm what's left; I'm what's right; I'm the enemy
I'm the hand that'll take you down and bring you to your knees
So, who are you?

"Are we going to fight a jacked up Ninja Turtle?" The look on Stephen's face was of annoyance and yet slightly comical. We both knew that this was probably the slimy lizard who's silhouette he saw but needed to be prepared to fight it. Considering it got away from some of our best interns and lines of defense underground. Stephen and I quick changed into our robes before opening a portal to where he had filled us in.

Being in the dark wasn't me favorite. For someone who's meant to a hero and saving the world, you'd think I'd be gungho about going in to this basically blind. There was just something about not being able to see what's in front of me or behind me that never sat right with me. And yet here I am trying to find a big ass river creature from another universe. A scratch emerged as an echo from a ways ahead of our position. Stephen and I both lit up the dark with our fists as our footsteps moves quietly to hopefully not be heard.

A breeze flew behind me and I quick jumped in a circle. "Jodie?" He whispered and pushed his back against mine so we were checking both directions to ensure we were safe either way we moved. I had the sense that this lizard thing already knew we were here and was probably waiting in the shadows for us, but I wasn't going to make it easy for him to get us. "Come on, let's keep going." With a nod, we journeyed on. Stephen and I didn't exactly discuss what we would do if/when we caught this thing but I assumed he probably had a plan and just didn't bother to share with me. Which wouldn't be the first time.

I finally turned myself around after deciding the coast was clear behind me. There wasn't a familiarity with giant lizard men for me but Stephen almost seems like he's been in this territory before. For what, when, or why I don't know. But he held a confidence to him that made me think this way. "SHIT!" A slashing sound echoed off the old hollowed concrete as a pain began to roar through my body. I collapsed into the wall beside me, instantly putting my hand where I felt the source of distress. Warm blood was oozing from my side from three different vantage points and I let out another scream as I tried to cover it with the tie around my waist. The pressure would eventually stop the bleeding but the pain would continue on.

"Are you okay?" Stephen made some small light with his hand while checking my wounds. His hands barely grazed it and I let out a bellowing scream. I noticed a scratch on his face, somehow always in the exact same spot on the chiseled cheeks I see every damn morning.

"Stephen duck!" The slimy bastard was trying to angle himself to where he'd get the both of us in one sweep. Quickly I formed a portal when Stephen ducked and pushed it towards him. Closing my fist as fast as I could. I know I placed him in one of the dreary cells of the dungeon in the basement of the sanctum but was worried I may not have locked it on his arrival. My body fell back against the cold wall and Stephen positioned himself back up to look at my wound.

"Let's get you back to the sanctum to wrap this up and get that the kid here." Stephen lifted me up delicately but I still felt pain radiating through my body. I was afraid to see what the deep cuts looked like on top of my burn scar from over a year ago but was prepared nonetheless. Once back in the sanctum, Stephen quick checked to make sure the lizard thing was in the confined quarters before laying me on a table. I watched as he quickly grabbed the first aid kit and set it beside my head. "I need you to get out of your robes carefully and roll on to your side."
