Like a river flows
Surely to the sea

Darling, so it goes
Some things are meant to be

Take my hand

Take my whole life, too

For I can't help falling in love with you

Today is the day. This was it. All I had been waiting for. All I had been imagining since I was a little girl. Thinking this day would be me marrying the prince I always imagined. He's not a real prince but he is mine. My knight in a bright red cloak with perfect salt and pepper hair. Blue-green eyes that pierce through anything in my own eyes. And a touch so soft, delicate, and warming that it was a fairytale to me. He was my fairytale. Stephen is my happy ending.

There I stood in the mirror with a photographer behind me, capturing my first look at myself. Hair curly underneath the white veil, eyes shimmering with a smokey sparkle, and lips a tanned neutral color. As simple and comfortable, yet just as elegant as I wanted to be. My neck covered with a silver chain holding a beautiful diamond that I had received from Pepper for Christmas during one of our Blip Christmases. I always told her it was too much but she always pinched me when I tried to inform her I wasn't worth such a beautiful delicacy. Yet here I am wearing it and it fit like it was made for me.

My shoulders lined with a simple wavy lace fabric from my wedding dress. Wedding dress. My wedding dress. It sounded so foreign. The shape of the waves continued down to my small v-neck line where the fabric continued down into two layers. A thick white layer underneath as the lace finally became its own at my waist. The fitted top delicately faded into an a-line shape. Not hugging my figure uncomfortably, but giving it room to breathe without being too heavy. Just a simple dress that meant so much more than that. The fabric continued down and down, finally ending in just the lace decal fabric train. The first time I tried it on I knew this was my dress. And even now looking at myself all done up to be married in less than twenty minutes, I knew it was still my dress.

The silhouettes gathered behind me in the reflection of the mirror which made me pull back the tears that were threatening to escape. A sign of confidence in myself was a new territory and it was emotional since it was the first time in ages I had felt so good about myself. Since I felt good in my own skin. I finally turned around and gasped seeing the girls all done up as well. Their dresses identical and just as elegant on the other. A blue a-line dress with enough flow to keep the girls comfortable. The top wrap around the neck and one shoulder added to the elegance. I couldn't be happier at the view before me. Christine with her hair pulled back into a lovely ponytail with some whisps hanging down around her face. Pepper had left her hair down with some small curls that matched Mantis who had her hair with some small curls. Oddly enough the green tint to her hair clashed incredibly well with the blue of the dress.

My eyes shifted to America, who wore a short baby blue dress with short sleeves and a comfortable fit around her. It wasn't tight on her, it wasn't too puffy, it was just right for America. And just right for me too. Her shoes were the exact ones I had bought her. White converse with a hint of blue in the logo. Her hair was half up and down, just as beautiful as I could imagine my daughter being. Herself. And finally Morgan who wanted a big poofy dress and dramatic curls in her hair. She looked adorable and I was so excited to see her walk down the aisle with her rose petals and line the way for me to walk. "You guys look amazing. Thank you for this."

"You are the most gorgeous bride." Christine said and wrapped her arm around mine as we prepared to exit the room and make our way downstairs. To my current knowledge, Stephen was waiting for the rest of our bridal party to make their entrance. I could only imagine him standing up there in his tux, checking his watch to figure out if I had run away or if something was wrong. But nothing was wrong and I definitely wasn't running away. Never ever. Nebula was downstairs waiting for my arrival. She wasn't comfortable having everyone stare at her since it was her first time on earth and mostly everyone was aware of who her father was. So we agreed that she'd walk down the aisle but she'd have a seat in the front row. I could understand not wanting to be looked at and judge just by an affiliation, so I accommodated her immediately.

The groomsmen all turned to look at me and Wong's eyes lit up. He was the one who came with me to pick this dress. Wong was the only one I could trust to tell me honestly what Stephen would like, what looked the best, and what wasn't the best option. This, funny enough, was the dress he had picked. "You look beautiful." Wong said giving me a gentle kiss to the cheek and a hug. I felt bad having to tell him he wouldn't be walking me down the aisle but he made me feel a lot better when he informed me that he had already known about the Tony hologram and he was totally fine with it. He played into this little charade to make me less suspicious. And it worked like a damn charm. "I'm very happy you and Stephen have found companionship in one another. I wish you both nothing but the absolute best in your forte endeavors."

Wong took Pepper's hand in her elbow before they watched Christine, America, and Morgan make their way down the aisle. Christine walked beside Quill while America walked beside Thor. She was happy she walking with Thor because she knew they'd have fun walking down the aisle together and would enjoy each others company. Even though they did fight the night before over who got the last Twinkie.

The music switched over and it was finally time for me to make my entrance. Tony's holographic figure appeared next to me and had bent this elbow in my direction. It was weird but honestly, it's how Tony wanted it. And kind of how I wanted it too. My hand slipped into the crease of his elbow and our steps took off. I'm happy I was able to rehearse this with the clone last night and get it perfectly right. And thank the lords above it was. After deciding I was good on my feet and I won't face plant, my eyes found Stephen's. There was a look I've never seen in them before. Almost like a pure euphoric emotion in his eyes.
