And all these sorrows I have seen
They lead me to believe
That everything's a mess
But I wanna dream
Leave me to dream

"Get your cheating fingers off of the deck!" My hand smacked the one in front of me from grabbing the cards.

"I landed on the spot I have to grab the card. It needs to tell me what to do, I'm just following the rules, Jodie."

"If you were following the rules you'd know it wasn't your turn." Stephen shuffled the dice in his hands before throwing them across the table. "It's not your turn either, Stephen."

"I don't even understand why we're playing this game, it's not like Simon even understands what's happening."

"I do too, Daddy! You're just mad that I have more properties than you and Uncle Tony. It must suck to be broke." I had to quick cover the laugh that was about to escape from my lips at the sudden outburst of Simon. Just as much as he looked like Stephen, he acted like him too.

"You've been stealing them you little-"

"Alright family game night is over! Bunch of hellions." Quickly I gathered up the money and property cards that I helped Simon steal properly. Stephen noticed the subtle high-five I gave our son as we gathered up the rest of the game pieces before putting it into the box. "Simon, why don't you go pick out a movie while we finish up out here?"

"I want to watch the original Friday The 13th." He shouted while running into the living room.

"You know that's entirely your fault and I will never forgive you for that." I grumbled at Tony before setting the game back on the shelf by the door while the guys grabbed out some snacks from the cabinets. A bag of chocolate chips were thrown at me from I'm only assuming Tony who as usual, blamed someone else. "Stephen, can you help him pick an appropriate movie?"

"I'll do my best but Uncle Tony just did such a brilliant job at expanding his filmography that I might not be able to." He planted a peck on my lips before exiting the kitchen. Leaving me alone with my best friend. I approached Tony and tossed the chocolate chips he threw at me on to the counter.

"So really, be honest. What was it about David Blaine that impressed you more than I did?"

"The fact that he didn't try to impress me, Elon Musk." Stuffing a handful of popcorn into my mouth as a laugh was building in my stomach,

"Nevermind, my interest has heavily depleted." The laughed escaped at his sarcasm and I couldn't help but spit some of it out. Causing Stephen to run in with Simon wrapped in his arms to make sure I wasn't choking. "She's fine just gross. So what movie ya got?"

"I did the best I could with compromising."

"Oh this outta be good."

"Mommy, Daddy said we could watch Shaun of the Dead." I let out a defeated sigh, looking down at the floor with a shake of my head. This would be a battle I could never win.

"Whatever." BRRRRRING BRRRRRING BRRRRRING BRRRRRRRRRRRRRING!!!!!!

The images faded away slowly as my eyes began to flutter open to the sound of Stephen's alarm ringing annoyingly. I started hitting him with my arm trying to get him to turn it off but he wasn't even budging. Aggravatingly I threw myself over him and turned it off myself before rolling back over. The one good dream I've had in weeks, interrupted by the annoying bark of his clock. "I apologize for the alarm, darling."
