WARNING: Spoilers for Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are coming into play now! Nothing too serious just minor stuff but in case you haven't seen it yet there isn't much longer to wait! It's coming to Disney+ June 22 and I'm so excited (even though I've seen it three times in theaters)! I'm definitely not obsessed I swear :) also I don't know why the lyrics are extra spacing themselves in some chapters versus what they look like in the draft but I've tried fixing it and have gotten no where so I apologize for that bit of inconsistency I'm trying to figure it out so bare with me please!! Okay, enjoy! <3

Walk away, if you want to

It's okay, if you need to

You can run but you can never hide

From the shadow that's creepin' up beside you

Whatever you do
I'll be two steps behind you
Wherever you go
And I'll be there to remind you
That it only takes a minute of your precious time
To turn around
I'll be two steps behind

It was quite rare for me to awake before Stephen. Especially almost entirely ready for the day ahead before him. Normally it takes a couple shoves, portalling, or the cloak to get my ass up out of bed. It just takes a couple extra pushes because I was sleeping. Now I get a couple hours tops even if I have a good dream. It just felt weird. I couldn't get that girls face out of my head and I truly don't think I will until I find her. Know she's either real and safe or fiction.

Clipping the back of my hoops, I opened the bathroom door and walked out to see Stephen trying to catch his breath from what seemed to have been an intense dream. "You okay?" His head whipped in my direction and a blush instantly rose to my cheeks. Stephen's eyes trailed from my head to my toes slowly, stopping at the opening in the dress as well as trying to track where the slit ended. Sweat glistened off of his forehead but the blush rising to his cheeks was much more prominent. "Is it too much for my boyfriend's ex's wedding?"

"No, you look amazing. You are stunning, Jodie. Truly." Genuine smiles covered both of our faces before I walked over to the bed. I pulled my heels over with a flick of my finger and began to pull the straps up over my shin. Stephen's hands felt the fabric of my dress before finding their way to my shoulders. He pulled himself up fully and placed a kiss against my cheek. "I'll take a quick shower and we'll head out."

"Sounds like a plan."

"It's too bad, you could've joined me."

"And we'd have never made it to the wedding." His low chuckle made me giggle. The muscles on his back were literally shining with each peak of the sun that tried pushing through the curtains as he walked to the bathroom. He was just perfect. I assume he felt my eyes on him because he turned around with that cocky smirk and gave me a wink. Hitting me in the gut letting the butterflies fly ramped. "I'll meet you downstairs." His thumb made an appearance as and okay just as I walked out of the bedroom to see the Sanctum was empty. Wong was suppose to be on for the both of us today but maybe someone else is taking his place who could use the extra bout of time to study.

Of course there were obvious nerves today about Stephen seeing Christine in a wedding dress for the first, and hopefully, last time. Maybe he'd want to object and run away with her. Or maybe he'd drink away his sorrows and ruin the time for everyone. What if he decides to grab her before the wedding and then the poor groom and myself are left to our own devices. I know I'm just being paranoid but it's not often you go with your boyfriend to the only woman he's ever loved's wedding. I knew I wasn't a Christine standard but maybe one day I would be. Or maybe I never will be.

"Are you ready?" My thoughts were broken by the quick stride of Stephen. I hadn't realized how quick he was actually going to be. Extra worry floated over my head at how eager he was. Almost like he noticed the newfound compromising thoughts roaming through my head, Stephen stalked himself over to me. His hands finding my waist and pulling me flush against his chest. His eyes met mine for a split second before finding the v-neck of my dress, like he was examining it. "I think you get more and more beautiful every time I see you." His eyes found mine but this time for longer. Those blue-green eyes that trapped me those first few moments of introduction.
