Rushing down the street, you shoved your way through the small crowd of people that started to gather due to all the commotion. None of them stayed very long, at least, but it was still extremely concerning and dangerous for anyone to be near Law right then.

Including you.

All you could assume was that he accidentally shifted before he made it to the car. Probably planned to hide in an alley or something until he changed back, but didn't make it that far.

If he changed now, the secret of the wolves would be out, and all of them would be in danger.

Is this really what Doflamingo wants?!

You shoveled your theories aside when you reached Amanda, watching in horror as Law was finally contained in that truck.

"Let him go!" you yelled without thought. "Amanda, what is all this?!" you shook her shoulders violently, demanding answers.

"Woah, woah, woah! (f/n) calm down!"

You were shaking, trembling in fear and anxiety.

"Who are these people?! What's going on?"

"Chill out! Since you weren't going to help me, I found people that did," she scoffed, putting her hands on her hips as though she'd just saved the world like some hero, "They said they used to be in the Marines, but now they're part of a wildlife protection program!"

Something just didn't feel right. The way that they handled Law and...whatever they injected into his shoulder...none of it screamed 'protection'.

"Amanda, I don't know about this..."

"Really? You're still not going to be supportive of me when I'm literally out here saving this city from these aggressive animals?"

You pressed your palm against your forehead. How did you even get this far with her?

Behind Amanda, the people in those padded uniforms were almost finished packing up the truck. You pushed past her and rushed over to them.

"Hey! What are you going to do with him?!" you growled out. Despite Amanda's words, you were definitely the aggressive one here.

The woman paused as she stepped up to get inside the truck. "What's it to you?"

You gawked. "I...just happen to care a lot about the wildlife around here, and I don't think wolves are as dangerous as people make them out to be. So, I want to know what you're planning to do with him! ...or her."

Reluctantly, you tried to put on an oblivious persona as to not give away anything. But with Law in danger, it was one of the most difficult things you'd done so far.

"We run some lab tests, see where he came from," the woman was being short with you, and was definitely pissing you off, "Then we'll try to get him back to his original home. Does that make you happy?" her tone went from blunt to demeaning, and you so wanted to kick her where the sun don't shine.

"Not at all! I-"

One of the other guys stepped in between you and the woman. "Ma'am, we'll have to ask you to back up now, or else we'll have a problem."

Panic started to set in. With how sporadic Law's transformations were, there's no way he'd be able to sit still for some lab tests. If he even made it that far. And there was no question things would get even messier if they were to do any sort of bloodwork.
