LOKI POV

I didn't understand what these stupid mortals who called themselves the Avengers had against the other stupid mortals who called themselves HYDRA. Sure, these HYDRA mortals may be planning to make weapons of mass destruction designed to wipe out whole cities, but didn't Tony Stark use to do that as well? I mean, what really makes him so different from this HYDRA group? Why were the Avengers so adamant about taking down HYDRA when the man who led them was the same as their so-called enemy?

I sighed and rubbed my forehead as Barton slowly landed the Quinjet, mortal minds were too confusing and it was hurting my head trying to figure them out.

"Are you ready brother?" Thor, my adopted brother, key word being adopted, interrupted my thoughts and I looked up at him, a smirk playing on my lips as I looked up at him cockily.

"Of course." I rolled my eyes as I stood up, smoothing out my Asgardian clothes as I looked around confidently. The rest of the 'Avengers' began to stand up and walk out of the Quinjet as the door opened, looking around cautiously. I rolled my eyes at their pathetic weapons and began to walk after them at the back of the ground.

However, before I could actually step off, Thor roughly grabbed my elbow and pulled me back so harshly that I stumbled back a couple of steps. I quickly regained my balance and glared at Thor, wrenching my elbow out of his grip and smoothing out my clothes.

"Remember brother, no funny business." Thor warned me firmly and I scoffed, rolling my eyes again.

"Of course not, brother." I said sarcastically. "I would never dream of it."

"I mean it Loki." Thor growled and I marched past him, walking down the Quinjet ramp as I mimicked him under my breath. I caught up with the rest of the 'Avengers', my shoes crunching loudly through the leaf-covered grass. Several of the mortals, including Stark, Agent Romanoff, and Rogers, glared at me mistrustingly, but I ignored them, keeping my chin raised.

None of the Avengers had been friendly since Thor brought me down from Asguard. I had apparently been 'intent on causing mischief'. I mean, really? I am the God of Mischief after all, it's what I do best. Odin was fed up with my 'antics' and ordered Thor to take me down to Earth to be with Thor's new friends, the Avenger idiots.

I think Thor wanted me to become an 'Avenger' like him, but I honestly couldn't think of a worse thing. Being with mortals was bad enough, all of their stupidity and arrogance did my head in. Being stuck in a tower with seven mortals who liked to think they were above everyone else was a nightmare. There was no way I was going to join their little 'special' club.

And yet here I was, stuck in a forest in the middle of nowhere while the rain was drizzling down, wetting my hair and causing it to stick to the side of my head. I swept it out of my face with a faint grumble and continued to glare at all of the arrogant mortals all around me.

Well... they weren't all bad, the young woman who went by the name of Wanda Maximoff was quiet and she didn't bother me. The scientist who spent all of his time in the Laboratory, Bruce Banner, wasn't bad either. But the rest of them, they were just pains that I couldn't get rid of.

I pulled myself out of my thoughts and turned my attention to the building that was standing about 200 metres away from us. From the outside, it looked completely abandoned, but I knew better than that. According to Stark, there were thousands of these HYDRA agents inside and several weapons of mass destruction. The plan was to get inside, kill as many agents as we could, destroy all of the weapons and then get back out there.
