It was probably about twenty minutes before someone came back into my room, though it wasn't Strucker or Zola, but an agent dressed completely in black again, their face hidden by a mask. They walked straight into the cell and grabbed my arm as I flinched away from them. Their grip pinched my skin, but I knew better than to try and pull away.
They stopped outside of Bucky's cell and opened it up with a key, keeping a tight grip on my arm, letting Bucky stalk out. I looked up at his face and saw that his eyes were completely blank and his whole face was void of emotion. I twisted slightly in the agent's grip and saw him begin to follow us, my legs trying to match the agent's pace as they yanked me forward.
There was a small hope that maybe Bucky was faking the emotionlessness, but I knew that it was unlikely. Although he might have destroyed that silver controller, he only did it out of prior orders. I tried to lock eyes with him, but he remained looking straight ahead, his gaze still blank.
I tripped over something on the floor and the agent didn't hesitate to yank me back up harshly, pulling me out of my thoughts.
Before the Avengers had rescued me from here, I hadn't been outside the cell I had spent the majority of my life in much. Wherever the agent was dragging me, it wasn't familiar at all, but it wasn't too different to my old cell, white walls, white floors, frosted glass doors. The doors had facial recognition pad next to them and the agent that was pulling me stood in front of one as we stopped walking. It beeps and flashed green before the frosted glass door slid open.
The room inside was pitch black, well, almost. There were dull red lights from the ceiling, illuminating the shapes of people standing along the wall, one wall that was made purely from glass. I immediately tensed, which was a bad move because the agent that just pulled yanked me forward and I almost fell flat on my face. I was dragged into the middle of the room before the agent let go of me and joined the agents along the wall. I looked around nervously, tense, waiting for something to happen. For a little bit, all I could hear was my own quiet breath and my pounding heart, before someone spoke up.
"Take the bracelets off." I recognised Strucker's voice from where he was hidden in the darkness in front of me. I looked down at my wrists and hesitated slightly. I wasn't sure if the bracelets would be able to stop my power from breaking out when HYDRA tried to mind control me. They had already struggled to contain the fire at the Barton's house, it looked ready to burn through my skin.
"Now." Strucker demanded and with shaky hands, I loosened the bracelets and slid them off my arms. An agent strode forward and held their hand out, leaving me no choice but to hand over the bracelets. I felt fire rush to my finger tips and I let small tendrils of flame twirl along my arms. There was movement in front of me and I looked up just in time to hear the familiar bang of a gun and I threw my hands up with out even processing what I was doing. I braced for the pain but it never came. I slowly opened my eyes, which I had squeezed shut, and saw that there was a protective bubble of fire all around me, leaving a single bullet hovering in midair. I slowly let my hands drop and the bullet fell silently to the floor, leaving me wth a pounding heart. There were another two bangs and I threw my hands up against, still flinching away despite the shield surrounding me.
"Impressive." Came Strucker's voice as I dropped the bullets on the floor. "Lets try sometime else now."
Just before he had finished speaking, I heard someone breathing behind me and I spun around to see an agent dressed in all black clothing behind me. I scrambled backwards and they threw a punch at me, knocking me to the floor. I rolled to the side and jumped back to my feet.
I suddenly became aware of a second agent on the other side of me as they attempted to kick me in the gut but I spun out of the way just in time. The first agent drew a slightly curved knife out of their utility belt, making their way towards me again. I punched the second agent square in the jaw as he came too close to me before I grabbing the hand of the first, trying to force the knife they had point at my chest away from me. The first agent kicked me sharply in the back of the legs and my legs buckled, causing the knife to grab at my clothes but I lurched backwards before it could actually cut me. The second agent grabbed my hair, yanking my head backwards just before I put my heel where I knew it would hurt. They hissed quietly in pain and let go of my hair, allowing me to slide out of the way as the second agent launched at me with the knife. The first agent punched me in the side of the head and I grabbed their leg from where I was laying on my. I swung my leg up, kicking them straight in the jaw and sending them backwards, allowing me to land on top of them and knock them out with a strong punch to the side of the head. I didn't want to do it, but I knew they were going to kill me otherwise. The training sessions from Steve were definitely helping me.
