Just as I was finishing up my breakfast, Loki leaned into me and I looked up at him quickly, causing him to smile softly at me.
"How do you feel about training today?" He whispered to me. "It is probably best for you to learn how to control your powers sooner than later." I hesitated, biting my lip nervously as I looked down at my bracelets. After a couple of seconds of thinking, I nodded and looked back up at him to see him smiling at me happily. "Do you mind if Maximoff joins us? She might be able to help since she had powers too." He nodded over to Wanda and I nodded, causing him to sit back normally in his seat.
A couple of minutes later, everyone began to stand up, picking up their plates and glasses and moving into the kitchen. They began to stack up a dishwasher and I hesitantly followed their movements, having never used a dishwasher before. I was the last one to clean up, and when I looked up from the dishwasher, I saw that Wanda was leaning up against the bench, Loki standing not too far away. Wanda gave me a small smile as I shut the dishwasher, and I gave her a weak twitch of my lips back. She beckoned for me to follow her and I walked behind both her and Loki, even though Loki seemed slightly hesitant for me to walk behind him.
We walked over to the lift and Wanda pressed the button, the lift pinging and doors opening a couple of seconds later. We stepped in and Wanda pressed a button engraved with a 5 on it and it lit up, the lift doors sliding shut.
"The others will probably be in the training room too." Wanda spoke up, looking down at me as the lift moved upwards. "We all like to keep fit and prepared. There are private training rooms however, we should be fine to use them." I nodded and looked down at the bracelets on my wrists, slowly spinning them around. I felt Loki watching me, but the lift doors opened up before he could say anything.
Outside the lift was something I had never seen before. Sure, HYDRA had training rooms, but they were pure white with only one big glass window for normally Strucker to watch me. They didn't tend to clean the floors much either, so they had been stained with blood for years and weren't exactly white anymore.
This training room however had grey carpet and white walls, with one whole wall made of glass, allowing a beautiful view of the city. There were different machines and pieces of equipment I had only ever seen in the training rooms that the agents had. I noticed that Steve was already by one of the treadmills at the windows with Nat on one next to him, both of them chatting and laughing.
Wanda gently nudged my shoulder and I looked up at her to see her nodding to several white doors built into one of the walls. Loki and I followed her, my eyes still darting around the training room as I tried to take in and process everything. Wanda opened up one of the doors and stepped inside. It wasn't much different to the bigger training room, it had the same colours but just less equipment and a smaller window that faced a different part of the city.
"This is the one I tend to train in." Wanda said. "Hence the lack of equipment. I find that meditation is key to me managing my power and growing it. That's what I say we try today." She looked over at Loki and he shrugged, looking down at me briefly. My lips twitched in a ghost of a smile again and I looked back at Wanda to see her beckoning me over to the window. She sat down cross-legged on the floor and I copied her movements, putting my hands palm up on my knees.
"Are you going to join us?" Wanda looked past me at Loki and I turned my head to see him leaning up against the wall, arms crossed.
"I'm not one to meditate." He replied and Wanda smiled, nodding before she turned back to me.
"For us to actually see if this works, you'll need to take your bracelets off." She said to me in a comforting way. My eyes darted down to the bracelets on my wrists and I hesitated, causing her to put a hand on my knee. "Don't worry, both Loki and I are here to step in if something goes wrong." She removed her hand from my knee and I bit my lip, looking down at the bracelets, carefully running my fingers over them. After a couple of seconds, I very slowly slid my finger along the top of one of the bracelets, causing it to click and fall off my wrists. Immediately, I felt a strange rushing to my fingertips, like my blood circulation had been cut off, and sparks covered my fingers. I let out a small gasp and my eyes widened as I hurried to curl my hand into a fist, trying to stop the sparks before they turned into flames.
