The Soldier slowly let go of my arm and the agent smirked just as I saw the Soldier begin to inch towards the bench. He slowly sat down his tray of food as the agent began to trail his fingers along my cheek. My hands began to drift towards my gun, but before I could make a move, the Soldier reached out with speed so fast, I could have blinked and missed it. He grabbed the hair of the agent and slammed his head down onto the bench, splattering blood over the bench at the sickening crunch of bone breaking.

There was yelling from the other agents serving up food and I immediately stepped back out of the agent's reach. Everyone else in the line scrambled backwards and a couple seemed to make a move towards the Soldier, but decided against it as the Soldier slammed the agent's face down on the bench again. Blood was covering the bench and was dripping down the agent's mouth and chin.

A couple of the higher up and more powerful agents swarmed the dining hall and pulled the Soldier off the agent, taking the agent out of the room as he yelled curses at the Soldier. The Soldier picked up his tray off the bloody bench and I hurried after him, weaving my way through the crowds of agents who had gathered to watch.

The Soldier walked over to a silver metal bench far away from everyone else and I sat down at the opposite end of the bench to him, keeping my space just incase he was still in a mood. I began to eat my pasta, occasionally shooting glances his way, but he remained staring down at his food.

I finished my food pretty quickly, it wasn't anything to compliment, but it was better than the porridge. The Soldier had finished his in a couple of mouthfuls and spent the whole time glaring off into the distance. As soon as I finished however, he grabbed his metal tray and stood up, walking towards the door. I hurriedly grabbed my stuff and followed him, putting my empty tray on the pile by the bins where he had put his and walked out of the dining hall a couple of steps behind him.

Neither of us said anything as we weaved through the endless corridors and I lost track of where we were going. Eventually the Soldier stopped in front of a black door, the corridors now a dark grey. He raised a fist and knocked on it, causing it to open up almost immediately. I peered inside and vaguely recognised the pitch black room, though there were faint red lights glowing now. The Soldier stepped inside and through the darkness, I could faintly two figures inside as I followed him.

"Let's start shall we?" A voice came from one of the figures and I recognised it as Strucker.

I barely got any warning before the Soldier swung a fist at me, one I only managed to dodge from my enhanced hearing. I swung a foot back at him instincitvely and hit in the stomach, causing him to only stumble back a step. He quickly recovered and swung out his own leg, tripping me and causing me to land on my back. I only just managed to roll out of the way before he could grab my neck. I grabbed his ankle and pushed off the ground slightly, swinging my foot up and hitting him in the jaw. He stumbled back a couple more times and as I jumped to my feet, he reached out with fast reflexes and pulled me roughly into a headlock with his metal arm. I drew up the fire that was bubbling in my stomach, fed by the adrenaline, and set my whole body alight. I managed to elbow him hard in the stomach and cause him to let go of me. I spun around to face him, ignoring the slight twinge of pain in my neck.

He pulled a knife off him somewhere and I responded by pulling out my own dagger. He jabbed his knife towards my chest and I barely managed to deflect it with my own knife. I got a small nick on his flesh arm, but he quickly retaliated by scratching straight through my leather top. I hissed in pain and jabbed at his neck, his metal hand forcing it away. I tried to kick his knife out of his hand, but he just stabbed me in the thigh. My leg buckled and he pulled me into a headlock as my fire spluttered. I could feel my blood dripping down through my clothes and I tried to punch him in the stomach, but he just grabbed the knife and twisted it even more. I swallowed back a cry and instead tapped his metal arm three times, signalling that I had surrendered.

He dropped me abruptly on the ground and I barely managed to roll so I didn't land on the knife in my leg. The Soldier crouched down next to me and pulled the knife out, putting a hand over the wound as he pulled out a small pale blue vial of his utility belt, along with a small needle, which was small enough to be safe and convenient. He filled it up with the healing serum and I clenched my jaw as he jabbed it into my leg. It hurt nowhere near as bad as the stab wound, but I could still feel it. Within seconds however, I was completely healed. I stood up, taking my dagger from the Soldier's offered hand and tucking it back in my utoility belt, my bloody soaked pants sticking to me.

"Very good." Interrupted a voice and both of us looked over to see Strucker moving out of the shadows to us, a smirk on his face. "B12, go get yourself cleaned up, you both have a mission tonight."

The Soldier and I nodded in sync again and the Soldier left first, leaving me no choice but to follow him. I didn't know where he was going, but I kept following him, annoyed when my bloody pant leg kept sticking to me with every step I took. We stopped by a lift and the doors slid open, revealing an already packed lift. The Soldier and I forced our way in amoungst the agents and they immediately gave the Soldier a wide berth. Clearly news about lunch had travelled fast because not one of the agents made a move towards me.

When the lift opened up again, the whole level before us was full of agents chatting and laughing around a small lounge area. As the Soldier and I stepped out of the lift, several of the agents paused their conversations to watch us walk by, and I raised my chin as the Soldier led me to a door.

He reached into his utility belt and pulled out a small white blank key card. He held it up against a black scanner on the grey door in front of us and the door spung open. The Soldier silently handed me the key card and I slowly took it from him before walking into the room. He walked off and I quietly shut the door behind me.

The room was quite plain. There was a bed against one wall with two low bedside tables on both side with simple lamps. There was a separate room on the left that was a bathroom by the looks of it.

I opened the bathroom door and leaned against the sink, taking off my boots. I peeled off my blood-soaked socks, and threw them into the bathtub. throwing them in the bathtub with my gloves. I unzipped my leather top and threw it into the bathtub, leaving myself in a sports bra and black cargo pants. I looked down at where the wound should have been and breathed a smell sigh of relief when I saw that the serum had healed it completely. I peeled off my cargo pants, the left leg covered in my blood too and threw it in the bathrtub with the rest of my bloodied clothes.

I walked out of the bathroom and opened up the cupboard, which had somehow become full of clothes exactly my size. I pulled on a looser top and pants before I fell into the bed and spent the next few hours staring at the unevenly painted ceiling.
