Fukui is only able to gain information of the following:
1. Ayame is a confirmed tsun-kuudere combination. As small as she may be, her personality is much of a brute - a dirty mouthed blunt girl.
2. Has a density of a hard iron bar.
3. Lives up to as what Oikawa told her, 'a harder fish to catch'.
Fukui ponders. What else is there...? What are her strengths? Weaknesses? How compatible would she be with Oikawa? What are key features that Ayame likes? What does she find endearing or attractive? If only I can actually know if... if...
In frustration, Fukui buries her face in the palm of her hands. She groans, and then hesitantly lifts her head to face Ayame, speaking slowly.
"Ayame...? What kind of guys do you like?"
Ayame spares her a glance, answering with a question.
"More importantly, what kind of question is that?"
"Y'know," Fukui gestures weirdly with her hands, "kinds of guys! Smart type, silent type, kuudere type..." She pauses.
"Or perhaps a school-prince type..."
"School prince?" Ayame's nose scrunches up.
"Well, Ayame," Fukui's eyes flashes in excitement and pauses to gain Ayame's anticipation, "they're guys who are really popular with girls! Usually good-looking and very charismatic!"
Ayame's expression looks as if she just ate a cube of expired cheese.
"That sounds unappealing."
Fukui deflates. Breaking into Ayame's emotional smushy sappy side proved to be more challenging than she thought. What else does she know about Ayame anyways...? All she knows is that... Is that... She's a tsundere...
Aha! Fukui thinks, Tsunderes... The more they hate, the more they love...
So then... All Ayame has to say is that she hates Oikawa Tooru!
"Ayame!" Fukui catches her attention, "what do you think about Oikawa?"
"Assikawa-san...?" Ayame frowns at his name. And at her expression of distaste, Fukui's hope gleams. The shorter girl hums consideringly, taking everything into account before replying,
"... He's pretty annoying, I guess... But he's a pretty hardworking person overall."
Fukui lights up, "so you think Oikawa is annoying?"
"Affirmative." Ayame answers flatly.
"Yes! Yes!! You have no idea how relieved I am!" Fukui shakes her shoulders excitedly while Ayame wears a confused face, unable to process where she is heading to.
Fukui couldn't wait to go home and tell Oikawa her findings. He would be elated. To think that Ayame likes Oikawa... It's just like those books she's read all over again! She grins widely, asking her one more question just to confirm her information:
"Now... What do you think of Tsukishima?"
The confusion that lingered in Ayame fades and replaces with sheer disgust, face scrunching up into one of pure dislike. If prince-types made her feel like eating a cube of bad cheese, then this one feels like she gorged on one full block of chese that is caked with greenish, gucky mold. Fukui's confident smile turns into one that is plastered - uneasy and nervous.
Ayame bites the inside of her lip. What does she think of Tsukishima? He's snarky, sarcastic, rude - not to mention loves to rile up other players. He's the basic definition of pure garbage, someone who is incredibly intolerable... I mean, it's particularly hard to rile me up, but that fucking jerk finds ways to light me up like a damn christmas tree... I hate that jerk so much...
