It's stuck on the tip of her lead.
Fukui clenched and unclenched her left fist with a mechanical pencil in had, eyes fixed and mouth parting subtly to a pout. She stared hard at her small sketcbook, inconspicuously hidden inside her textbook - other spectators would have mistaken her as someone struggling with procrastinated homework, no big deal.
This however, is much harder than homework.
Inside the pages lie a a cactus, its spikes jabbing out in different directions and the shape of the plant to the base - thick and sturdy. Even so, something was definitely missing... She just can't point her finger to it...
"Fukui-san -!"
Fukui slams the sketchbook shut and shuts it with her other hand still inside. She jumps from the pain and the call. Rubbing the back of her injured right hand, she smiles apologetically at the girl who called her.
"Sorry about that, I got a little surprised..."
The girl sighed, "you're always like that anyways. Like a really timid cat." She jabs her thumb back at the exit of the classroom, pointing at a figure right behind it.
"Someone outside wants to see you."
"Huh?" Fukui blinks in confusion before she got up from her seat. "Oh, it's probably a girl who needs me to give Oikawa-san something..."
"She's - well - she's a he."
Fukui wore a shocked expression, mouth agape and pupils blown huge. "Oh?! Oikawa can actually make a guy turn! It feels like I'm living in a Boy's Love Game..."
Fukui gets hit shortly by the girl straight at the back of her head.
"Ouch!"
"For once, stop jumping to conclusions and go see what's happening first." The girl says exasperatingly.
Fukui laughs it off and finally heads off the classroom, the silhouette if the boy growing larger and larger. Perhaps it might be Oikawa? Nah, there would be a swarm of right around him if it is. Perhaps it might be the teacher! And he's here to scold her for forgetting cleaning duty last week...!
She peers out of the crack nervously and stares at the boy before her a couple of seconds. She wasn't so sly in peering out. The boy stared back at her with an unamused expression - clearly unimpressed.
Ah... Thank goodness it's not Yoriko-sensei...
She poked out her head fully, wearing a relieved smile.
"Iwaizumi, what brings you here?"
