Fukui wakes up on clouds.

Okay, maybe not.

But they feel soft, much softer than the shabby futon she slept in last night. Her body feels worn, like a wet towel wrung tight. She sits up and realizes that she's back at the Rental House - the bed is made just for her - a whole room for her own leisure. Her nose feel drippy - not sure whether it's sinuses or sea water, and she smells of salt. Her hair, dried and wiry from not being washed after drowning, springs up in wild, frizzy directions. That after-feel of sticky sea-soaked hair.

It's three in the morning, but she couldn't wait on that shower. The hair is bothering her and her throat is parched.

When she gets up and passes by the vanity mirror, she finds her phone placed on top of a sheet of paper. Ah... that fell with her didn't it? Miraculously, the phone still lit up when she turned it on. The piece of paper underneath it reads:

[Akaashi said your phone should be fine once it's dry. I told you not to do anything reckless. - Tetsurou]

PS: You should thank Jun for saving your ass today.

Fukui sighs at the letter and looks back on her phone, and she notices that Oikawa has left five voice mails, a handful of text messages, and loads of missed calls. She decides against calling him back for now - not when it's this late at night, for he is most likely asleep.

She votes for a drink of water first before taking a shower.

However, as you may all have noticed, all the crazy things that occurred to Umeko Fukui happens in the dead of night. It's somehow the equivalent of Hinata's adventures of going to the restroom in tournaments.

So when she arrives at the kitchen she catches someone tipsily lean on the counter with a red cup in hand.

Is that...sake? Who let these kids handle sake?

Just when he's about to topple over, Fukui supports him by slinging one of his arms around her shoulder. He reeks of alcohol, and Fukui assumes that one of the coaches must've let one of his bottles unattended.

"Hinata...you dumbass..." The boy slurs, and Fukui remembers that he belongs in that Karasuno team. He doesn't seem to be the type to drink alcohol, especially since it'll hinder his health from playing volleyball. But the reality is, Tobio is big enough of a dumbo to mistake the clear sake as water - and so here he is now.

Fukui's phone beeps loudly from her pocket. Wait - it's Oikawa?

Fukui answers the call.

"Hello?"

"Umeko - oh my god you are so dead to me once you come back. Don't ever leave me hanging like that, I've been calling you and you're not answering any of my calls at all. I thought something happened you and -!!"

"Oikawa-san," Tobio hears the familliar voice, and even with a heavy intake of alcohol he manages to fire Oikawa up. "...please teach me how to serve."

"...Tobio-chan?" Oikawa's jaw drops. Sleepy sounding Tobio, plus Fukui, along with the dead of night is definitely suggesting something else to Oikawa - something that bubbles inside his stomach. It's not pleasant. Not only does his deep hatred for Tobio adds to the mix, but the fact that Fukui is hanging out with his rival does not set him in a good mood.

"Fukui Umeko, you have so much explaining to do." Oikawa snaps, and Fukui sighs in exasperation at the predicament she is in right now. She has to deal with Kuroo's scolding and Oikawa's. It's not a fun thing.

"Look, I'll tell you everything - but later. I need to handle this first."

"Wh - Are you gonna hang up on me? After I called you a dozen times, don't you even dare - "
