For the rest of the week, Y/n went ghost on everybody. well not entirely, she hasn't physically seen anyone outside of her family. Her room became her sanctuary to minimize run ins with Alan and to make sense of the information he shared.
Talking to him made her feel angry, not just at him but at herself. She was beginning to speculate the cause of her brother's death. After going over it multiple times, she came to the same conclusion... it was because of her.
Don't get it wrong, she didn't have any involvement in his death but she believed it has something to do with her. That awful night and weeks after it kept playing over and over. She wished so bad she kept her mouth shut because just maybe Jarvis would still be here.
Eventually, she told Cecilia what happened because she wouldn't stop pestering her. It was rare for Y/n to shut everyone out like that, the only time it happened was the day Jarvis died. So when it happened again, Cecilia knew something was up.
The only thing she told her was about running into him and not the information he shared. Nothing good would come from it if she did. But that was enough for Cecilia.
Hearing about his unexpected return sent her over head because she has just an equal amount—if not more—hatred towards Alan. From day one she knew he wasn't shit and wasn't gonna be shit. She tries convincing her best friend to see what she saw but damn, Y/n was drunk in love. So she gave up trying and became a shoulder for her to cry on. Then news came about their break up. Now that was a day to remember.
Cecilia bought balloons, party hats, and a cake with his name crossed out in red icing. She was too happy to finally get her real best friend back and not the emotionally depressed one. Everything felt like it was back to normal, until that night.
Cecilia made sure to tell everybody what he did and like wild fire it didn't take long for gossip to spread. Her intentions were pure. It was to let them know about the veil person Alan Montgomery truly is and to ice him out. For the most part it worked, but what she didn't expect was for an overprotective little boy to go berserk.
After Y/n told her that Cecilia told everyone, basically her family, about his return and to stay guarded. The whole family despised that damn Alan boy.
"The next time I see that punk ass boy I'll hit him with one of these", he did a fighting move.
Cecilia side eyed Dennis as she took a seat at the booth, eating a plate she fixed for herself.
Dennis started up again, "Back in my day—"
Cecilia groaned as she chewed on her food, "Let me eat in peace Ion wanna hear about yo delusions."
