𝖢𝗂𝗍𝗒: ( 𝖸𝗈𝗎𝗋 𝖢𝗁𝗈𝗂𝖼𝖾 ) 𝖣𝖺𝗍𝖾: 12/2022
L woke up thinking that last night's conversation was all a dream, but was hit with reality when he saw that he wasn't in his own bed. Instead, he was laid out on the couch in the Y/n's home and in front of him, quietly watching School Babysitters, were Amelia and Bianca.
The girls giggled as one of the characters, Taka Kamitani, had done something outrageous.
"Good morning", L grumbled.
The girls apologized for having woken him up, then cheered that he finally came back to them. They bombarded him with questions regarding his disappearance, all to which he nervously chuckled and coughed too.
"I think he was sick", Amelia said, believing she'd figure it out.
Not knowing what to say, L went along with it, "Cough, yeah I had a really bad cold, but I'm much better now."
"Are you sure?", Bianca said, pressing the back of her hand on his forehead, something that their big sister would do whenever they got sick.
He nodded.
They shrugged their shoulders, then went back to watching tv.
L walked upstairs down the narrow hallway, making sure his footsteps weren't too loud, to get to the bathroom. There he looked in the cabinets for a spare toothbrush, then began brushing his teeth and washing the sleepiness off his face.
After he was done, he went back to the living room to gather his belongings to head back to his own place.
"Don't leave", Bianca pleaded.
L awkwardly chuckled, "I have w-"
"We're hungry", Amelia blurted out.
"Y/n can make you guys fo-"
"S-she's sleeping and we don't want to wake her up, can you make us something to eat, please?" Both of them looked up at him with pouty lips and doe-like eyes.
He knew his conscience would eat him up for leaving two starving children to fend for themselves, so he decided to stay, prepare a meal for them then afterwards leave before Y/n woke up.
He was avoiding her.
He didn't want to see that sorry look he was constantly given whenever he spoke about his pastbecause it made him feel as though nothing had changed. Like he was still that pathetic guy from the beginning.
An hour later...
After L made the twins breakfast, he decided to call off from work since he wasn't going to leave anytime soon.
Just when he was done with one task they had given him to do, another was thrown on top, so he just decided that he'd spend his 'free day' with them. And after an hour passed, he was no longer wary of Y/n's presence.
