Y/n was on her weekly jog, listening to music. It was her way of de-stressing. As a 26 year old, she wasn't fully employed, but she wasn't being a lazy bum either. She was a full time student working on her masters and a TA as well. So when days like the one she had when the workload was too much, she liked to take an hour or 2 around the neighborhood.
She hummed along to the song as she waited at the lights. She looked up at the sky and it was extremely cloudy. It was going to rain soon but she wasn't anywhere near home and still had another hour left.
She continued on until it started drizzling. If it was only that she would've kept going. A quick look at the weather app showed it was going to rain 100%. She did not want to get drenched.
After taking a left turn she made a detour to her uncle's dinner since that was the closest place than her house.
It was closing time anyways, so while she's there she could just do it. As she went in, she saw one of the cooks there. She told them they could leave and she'll take over, and they did just that.
As Y/n stood at the door, something across the street caught her eyes. She squinted to make out what it was. When that didn't work, she unlocked the doors and stepped outside to get a better look.
And the more she stared the figure bore striking resemblance to... "Jarvis!" She yelled. The figure just stood there. So again she said, "Jarvis!" And still, got no response.
The people passing by grew curious at what she was yelling at but saw nothing. Y/n became aware of the attention she drew causing her to chew on her tongue out of embarrassment.
Giving up on trying to figure out what that was, she made her way back to the diner. Just as she was about to enter, she heard a familiar voice.
Her heart instantly dropped and she stammered over her words. A lump in her throat formed because if what she heard was correct than that meant... "Jay? Is it really you?", she questioned.
Standing right in front of her was Jarvis Keith.
"Jay, you died. I watched you die in my arms... How is it that you're here? Did you fak-" Y/n took one look around and saw it was only them two. Just a minute ago there were people here. They were looking at her, but now it's just...
"I'm sorry N/n, but I'm dead." Jarvis said. She felt her heart get ripped out and trampled on after hearing him say those words. "But I can see you. I can hear your voice. I can..." She fell to her knees. The tears started spilling down her face. She was left in the same state L was that night.
