Chapter 24: Moving Law

The next morning:

I woke up to a lot of loud snoring and something heavy on top of me, and when I open my eyes, I see my family everywhere in my room.

I was laying on my side of the bed with Ace on top of me due to Shanks sleeping on the other side of the bed. Law was fast asleep on a chair in the corner while Shachi and Penguin were cuddled up with each other on the floor by my side of the bed.

I need to get a picture of Penguin and Shachi. It might come in handy someday.

After some struggle, I finally got Ace off of me as he grunted in his sleep and readjusted himself. I grabbed my phone and took a couple pictures of the cuddling friends before grabbing a change of clothes and heading to the bathroom.

Once I got into the bathroom, I locked the door and splashed cold water on my face to help me wake up. Then I sat down on the toilet to do my business before taking my shirt off. As I sit on the toilet putting on my bra and the shirt that I will be wearing today, I take a deep breath and smell some coffee.

I wonder who's up? Mmm, Should I take a shower? I don't think I should. I have a feeling most people spent the night here. I don't wanna spend too much time in here and make people wait.

When I finish my business on the toilet, I flush and put my sweatpants on over Aces' boxers I was still wearing. Before I finally head downstairs, I brush my teeth and throw my dirty t-shirt onto my bed.

As I made my way toward the kitchen, I walked past dozens of sleeping bodies, and I noticed one of the most unexpected things ever. Kidd was passed out on the living room floor cuddling Bepo. I took a picture before finally entering the kitchen.

Mihawk was leaning against the counter drinking his coffee and petting Edward on the head, who was standing on the counter next to the coffee machine.

"Good morning Mihawk. I'm surprised you didn't go home last night." I say walking over and standing next to him.

"I was busy making sure no one got hurt, and when I finally realized the time, it wasn't worth it." He replied coldly.

"Makes sense. Thank you."

"What do you plan on doing now?"

"Get a better job. Maybe there is a position open at Shanks' job."

"I could always help you find something." He said. As I watched Mihawk take a sip of his coffee I decided I needed some, so I grabbed a mug and the milk. I poured some milk into the mug before putting it back into the fridge.

"Thank you Mihawk, but I need to do this myself," I replied as I poured some coffee into the mug and started to head to the living room.

"Good. I know you can do it (y/n)." Mihawk smiled. I left the kitchen and made my way to the front door. I made it outside and sat on the stairs enjoying the crisp morning air and hot coffee.

Hours went by and people started waking up one by one. By the time it hit 1 pm everyone was awake and putting their stuff in their cars getting ready to leave.

I was trying to say goodbye to Koala and Yamato, as they kept questioning me about my dress. After being drilled by them, I made my rounds to everyone else, thanking them for coming and giving me gifts. Cars started leaving the driveway, slowly making it emptier and emptier.

Finally, the only people left were Law, Kidd, Luffy, Shanks, and the dogs. Shanks told me he would give me my present soon, but Ace and I would have to go with him to his house for it.

"Law come here. I need to show you something!" I yelled at him from across the lawn. He gave me a weird look but came over anyway. I pulled out my phone, opened up my camera roll, and pulled up the picture of Kidd asleep with Bepo.
