Bondi Rescue (idk the title yet)

accident

As I was on a wave heading in, a board came straight over the top of me hitting into my head, and both of us was thrown into the surf. My head was in pain, and I was being pounded by waves, it felt as if I was being dragged out to sea. I reached for the surface, I'd lost my board, and was struggling to stay conscious, I felt my head and there was blood coming out of it. I knew that i needed to get help I had to raise my hand, and hope that a lifeguard would spot me from the tower or the beach.

Jake's pov:

"Thought it would be more busy ay?" I asked Reidy in the buggy.

"Yh pretty quite down here today."

*hey Boys next to the flags there's just been a collision between two surfers next to the flags, the guys just coming out with his board but the girls going under she's raised her hand, can one of you go get her* We heard Chap's voice come down the radio.

Me and Reidy stared at each other, I took of my shirt and headed down with a board. I ran past the guy and he seemed pretty angry he had a chip in his board.

I pointed at him and looked at Reidy who went and had a chat with him.

Your pov

I'd been stuck for a while now and in was starting to panic, I shouldn't have hired the board, It was stupid.

Suddenly, I see a board coming, by this time I'd started to go under. I was so exhausted. This guy helped me get on his board.

"You alright?" I just put a thumbs up, too tired tired. He got me on the right way and paddled in.

Once we got back to shore, I was just happy to be back. The lifeguard helped me back to the sand.

"Hey are you alright? Do you feel alright?"

"Yh yh all good, is the other guy ok?" I asked even though he ran over me..

"Yeah he's all good, did you swallow any water?" He questioned

"Nah I don't think so." I lied not wanting to cause anymore trouble, he doesn't realise my heads bleeding on the back. Suddenly I see the guy heading towards me with another lifeguard chasing behind him... "hey what the hell was that?" He shouted, I didn't know what to say what did he want, I didn't do anything wrong.

"I..." I struggle with my words.. "you silly bitch, you got in my way and chipped my board with your head..." he yelled, the lifeguard trying to pull him away.

"Hey ease up ok mate..." the lifeguard warned.

I stand up, I stumble going light-headed, and the guy who rescued me held me sturdy, "I- I'm sorry." I mumble and everything goes dark for a minute.

Jake's pov

She just passed out I catch her and lay her down, Reidy moves the guy away and rushes to hold her head still, incase of spinal damage. I get out the Oxy and Start giving her oxygen.

"Hey can you hear me, can you wake up please." She just mumbles but doesn't open her eyes. "Hey my names Jake and this is Reidy can you please open your eyes." I rub her sternum and she groans, I check her pulse and it's dropping, I radio for backup, "hey boys this may be a Resus can someone bring the defibrillator." "Yh copy" I heard Deano respond.

Reidy moves his hands for a second and looks at me, "Hey Jake, um she's hurt her head pretty bad, she's bleeding." He said, Shit this is worse than I thought, Reidy grabs some wraps and places them on the cut. Deano arrives with the defibrillator, Chappo and Terry with him, apparently the ambo is on the way. I explain what's happening, and as soon as I've done that she starts to come round, "heyyy, that's it keep your eyes open for me" Reidy says. she started to come round really quickly. Terry puts his hat on her head. I'm just glad she's waking up now.

Your pov

I wake up, and there's lots of lifeguards around me, it freaks me out a little, I need to sit, I attempt they stop me.

"I need to you to stay still, my name's Jake, this is Deano, Reidy, Terry and Chappo your ok I just need you to relax." He shows me everyone and all I want to do is get out the sun and sit up. "I need to sit up, please let me sit up. My back or neck isn't hurting. Please." I begged them.

"Guys I think we should get her in the buggy and take her up to the tower." Chappo says looking at the boys. They all agree and help me stand up and get into the buggy. There's another lifeguard in the tower, Deano calls him Maxi.
"Maxi did u call the ambo?"
"yh all sorted Mate"

I'd been sat in a chair next to the bed for like five minutes, when Terry and Chappo had to run to another rescue, and Jake, Deano and Reidy were still monitoring me, whilst we wait for the ambulance.

"So, what brings you to bondi and how long have you been here for?" Deano asks

"Oh I've just got here today, and I've just moved here." I reply

"Ah no way and this has happened, I'm sorry." Reidy says

"What's your name by the way we never found out?" Deano asks

"Caitlin" I said "listen I don't think I need to go to hospital I'm honestly ok now, I just want to go home."

"You should really go and get that head checked out." Jake says, suddenly speaking in the conversation after sitting there silently.

"Or at least let the paramedic have a look at you." Reidy adds. You agree, and then the paramedics knock, Jake lets them in, you let them check you over and say that your ok to go home, just make sure if you feel sick to go the doctors and get some help. I agreed and they left. I turned around to the boys, and thanked them for their help.

"No worries Caitlin, But do go to the hospital if you feel sick, promise me." I nodded and Reidy hugged me.

"I'll see you around, but I don't want to be seeing any accidents soon ok." Deano demanded, and we hugged, he also kissed me on the cheek as he did so. "i hope your ok." he added.

The boys head off, except Jake, "did you need me to walk you home, I just want to make sure you get back ok?"

"But aren't you working?" And as if he could hear me Hoppo walked in and Jake asked him if he could leave for 20 minutes or so to help me. And he agreed.

"Hey, heard you had a crazy surf incident, get well soon and welcome to Bondi." Hoppo said, I thanked him and me and Jake left.

When we got back to my apartment, I thanked him for helping me in more way than one, "no worries Caitlin, I'll see you around?" I nodded and he left.
