Maroubra

I wake up at 8, first day back today, yesterday i just spent the day in trackies and watched movies all day. I feel a bit better today. i don't have to be at the beach til 12. I message Jake but i don't get an answer so i presume he's working. i decide to go for a walk and ended up walking down to Maroubra. I've never ventured this far before. The surf was really large today. it was full of surfers too. and boys all down the beach, a lot of them had tattoos like Jesses. So i thought it was best to go home. but then as i turned around a group of guys were approaching me.
"hey where you going?"
"leave me alone please."
"ohhhh i see your british?" he grabbed my arm.
"ow get of me!!" i shoved him and kicked him in the balls.
"you little bitch grab her." and a few of them reached for me.
"oi get off her!" and they were shoved down by two guys, knocking me down. Jesse and I think Koby.
"clear off and don't let me see you around here!" Koby yelled. Jesse helped me up.
"hey you alright?"
"yh im fine thank you."
"Koby this is Caitlin, our new lifeguard."
"nice to meet you." he shook my hand "don't worry about those guys they won't touch you again."
"what are you doing down here anyway?" jesse asked, i sighed.
"it's my first day back today after the incident and i just wanted to go for a walk, and just ended up here i'm sorry."
"don't be stupid you don't have to apologise you weren't to know. what time are you on?" I tell him the time and he offered to drive me, he said we could pick up my uniform at my apartment on the way. and off we went. I messaged Jake saying we were on our way.
Me and Jesse were just chatting after getting my uniform.
"so how are you after what happened."
"i'm ok, i mean i wasn't, you sort of have to ignore it whilst your in the situation but afterwards i was a mess, i was drinking a lot the last couple of days. but i bumped into Jake at the shops and we..." i paused, Jesse was smirking. "what?"
"you and jake hey?" i pushed his arm.
"oh shut up" i said giggling. blushing.
"so it's not a no."
"it's not a yes... anyway he came back, and no not in that way. we just talked for hours about it all and he made me feel a lot better." i roll my eyes and his childish behaviour but it was quite funny.
"and thennn what happened."
"oh my god you and Maxi are literally the same." he pouted. "and then we kissed." i said super quickly. and he just burst out laughing, whilst keeping his eye on the ocean.
"i knew ittttt."

when we arrived, i took a deep breath and walked into the tower.
"hey boys."
i was greeted by Box, Whippet and Corey.
"you alright?" Whippet asked.
"yh all good now thank you. how are you boys... Corey you good?"
"yeah mate i'm sweet."
"good i'm glad to be back. did i miss anything the last couple days."
"no not really been a bit busy, but nothing new." Whip said.
"Jesse your down south end if you can head down there now." box informed him.
"copy, glad ur ok caitlin sorry about the boys earlier." i cringed i didn't want anyone knowing. as i turned around to face them, i was met with concern.
"oh it was just..."

jakes pov:

I just walked into the tower from south end as jesse was switching with me, i see Caitlin. i was filled with excitement. "oh it was just these 'bra boys' got a bit close to me at Maroubra, but Jesse and Koby got rid of them."
before anyone could say anything. I stepped in.
"what?! are you ok?"
she turned and smiled "hey jake, i'm fine it was just a misunderstanding." she hugged me. It was nice but we were also at work too. So i pulled away met with smirks from Whippet and Box. Corey was watching the ocean.

Caitlin's pov:
i was put on north end today with Reidy. and it was a slow day, not many people being here due to darkening weather.
