AN: im back. here's a new chapter, its a bit rocky, and not that long, but yeah enjoy, shoutout to @Imalexxx for inspiring me to continue this story. I'm going to try and write a couple of chapters tonight and we'll see how it goes. Enjoy- comment ideas and reviews and vote

After a long 2 days, it was my time to go back to the beach. I'd been off since the lifeguard challenge. And I've just been laying around, eating crap food, watching crappy movies and not a whole lot of sleeping. I didn't see anyone, I just decided to have some time to myself.

I checked my phone, and I was going to be late, so I threw on my uniform, shoved my hair in a messy bun. I swiped my keys and headed to the beach. When I walked in the tower, Whippet and Matt Dee was in the tower. "Hey stranger." Whippet said. "Hey boys." I called out as I slumped in the chair. "Wow you look exhausted." "Cheers Whip." I laughed. "What's the rota like today, where am I based." I asked. "Unfortunately you are down the lovely Southend with Corey. Then later your I believe your up north with Yatesy. Then you finish the afternoon with Jake, Reidy and mee in the tower." He beamed. "Greattttt. So much funnn." I deadpanned. "Heyyy you love me!" He slapped my shoulder. I couldn't retain my laughter. "Of course whip." The flags were set up and the people started to pile in.

Me and Corey were down south in the buggy, the beach was already busy and it was 11pm. The sun was shining and it was hot. "Busy already." I said. "Yh man its not even midday." "Its crazy how everyone just rushes for the ocean straight away." "Yeah. but I guess if you haven't grown up by the sea, you'd be the same, not take note of the danger signs or the flags." He said. "I guess yeah." I sighed. After countless rescues, There were lots of people attempting south corners viscous waves. And we just watched as more and people tried to take it on

*hey south corner I reckon you'll have to jump on the megaphone and try to redirect those people because it looks pretty dangerous down there don't you think* I heard Mouse on the radio *yh copy* I replied. Corey jumped on the megaphone. "Yeah just to the people out in the surf, this is a dangerous place to swim. Please head in and walk down to the flags along the beach, where it is safest." Nobody moved. "Hey Corey that guy right out the back right by the rocks? I reckon I need to go in what do you think?" I asked, whilst keeping my eye on the guy. "Yeah definitely go, I'll let the tower know." I ripped of my top and grabbed the board off the side of the buggy.

I broke into a sprint til I hit the water, to then paddling as quick as I could. I got to the guy and he was oblivious. "Hey are you alright?" I asked. "Yeah why?" He asked. "Well your swimming in a really dangerous place, you are way too close to the rocks. Come on get on the board and ill give you a lift back to shore." "No back off. Im fine." He shouted. "Please understand that you are in a dangerous situation, and people and watching from icebergs probably worried for your safety the surf is pretty bad." I tried to tell him how bad it was, but he wasn't having any of it. "Back off little girl, are you even a proper lifeguard. Are you allowed?" I tried to take deep breaths and not rise to his words. "Listen to me, you are causing to much of a commotion, no doubt the public have already called the tower. Or the police. Even since we have been wasting time talking we have edged closer to the rocks, so please get on the board." I said surprised at my own calmness. "Fine. No police." "Ok" he tried to get on the board but ended up flipping the board. "What the hell your supposed to be helping me." With a hint of panic

Coreys Pov

*hey Cor what the hell is going on out there*

*no idea mate I think the guys being difficult*

I could see the guy shouting at Caitlin. And once I saw the crowd forming at icebergs I knew it was going to be a painful rescue. And then I saw the board flip.

Caitlins Pov

"Just get on the board lay down facing the opposite way please" He managed to pull himself up but clipping me in the face with his foot. "Just get me to shore. As we paddled for the sand. I caught a wave in.

Once on the shore, I redirected the guy to the flags, and walked to the buggy, placing the board back. "You alright?" Corey asked. "Yeah he was just being rude and unhelpful, refusing help. It pissed me off." I yelled. At that point, I saw the guy turn around and head back towards the waves. "Oh no he is not going back in, I am not having to rescue him again man." I said heading over to him. "Caitlin! Be calm." I heard Corey shout as I headed towards him. "Excuse me. Excuse me!" I said he spun around. "What do you want?!!" He yelled heading towards me. "Please go to the flags you can't swim here. It's too dangerous." I warn him. "I can do what I want, save people who actually need saving." "You needed saving you were about two minutes out from hitting the rocks, now please go up to the flags or leave the beach." "You cannot tell me what to do, who do you think you are... you're wearing a blue shirt not a police uniform." He shouted getting right up in my face. "I- don't talk to me like that, I'm trying to help you." I said. "To be fair you are quite hot, I wouldn't mind you saving me again, but don't give me attitude princess." His attitude is disgusting, "please don't call me princess." he grabbed my arm quite tightly. "Let go of me right now." I heard Corey shout. As I spun my head around to him, seeing him head over. "Aww you can't even defend yourself, have to get your friend to save you, not much of a lifeguard are you?" He mocked. "Just go." "No, you think your all high on your horse. Please, your tiny I could squash you." He pushed me over. "Oi don't touch her." Corey got between us. "Leave the beach now or I will call the police." He threatened. "Fine this is a stupid beach anyway. Full of stupid people." He huffed and left. The quad turned up as Corey helped me up. "Are you ok?" he asked. "I'm fine." "Are yo-" "I'm fine Corey." I sighed and walked over to the buggy. Jake jumped of the quad. "Are you alright Caitlin what the hell was he doing?" He asked. "Jake I'm fine, its my lunch now so I'm going to head up." Grabbing my towel, I headed up to the tower.

Jakes Pov

"What was that, Mouse asked me to back up?" I asked Corey.

"Some guy talking down to Caitlin, she rescued him and he was being difficult the entire time, I think she's just pissed off, give her some space." Corey replied. "What did he say?" I wanted to know because I wanted to help. "Jake he was just being rude and sexist, he did grab her though which is when I started to head over, next thing I knew he pushed her down onto the sand. But if she says she's ok, she's ok she just needs to cool off."

"Im going to go talk to her." I needed to speak to her. But Corey stopped me. "Honestly mate don't crowd her. Give her a minute, plus your swapping her shift I'm pretty sure." "Ok." And I sat on the quad next to the buggy and watched the ocean.

Caitlins POV

I was so pissed off! He talked to me like I was a piece of meat and not someone who just saved his life. And potentially from it happening a second time. I marched up to the tower, trying to calm myself down.

"Yoo dude, that was crazy, what a prick." Mouse said to me when I walked in. "Yh man was an asshole, not happy." I sat down and ate my lunch. "...and Jake just comes over on the quad as if I can't defend myself." I finished ranting to Mouse and Matt dee. "Honestly man I think he was just worried about you, and you are his girlfriend its natural for him to want to defend you." Matt said. "And to be fair it was me who sent him down there, he was closest as he was at the flags." Mouse added. "Right, I guess it is kind of sweet, he was worried. And I may have been a bit snappy with him, and Corey." "Its so sweet, your both sweet, but you were pissed off, rightly so, its ok to be mad." Mouse reassured. "And we tend to take our anger out on the ones we care about." Matt Dee added. "Yeah I know, I'll apologise to them when I see them." I took a deep breath, stood up, looked at the boys, and thanked them before leaving the tower to head up north, with Yatesy for the arvo.
