This chapter is a lot of fun its very cute and bubbly however the beginning is a bit deep.

Caitlins pov.

When me, Jake and whippet got back into the tower, Hoppo and Jesse were sat in the tower. I sat down, putting my eyes straight in the water. "Caitlin do you mind coming to my office with me please." I looked at Hoppo then to Jake then back at Hoppo. "Yes ok." We headed across the pavillion and into Hoppo's office. When I sat down in the seat opposite to Hoppo, my palms were sweating and instantly felt anxious. "Are you ok?" He asked. "Yeah im ok." I answered straight away. He looked at me for a second, before he continued. "You know it's ok not to be. That was a very serious situation, and then what happened after..." I nodded. "You can talk to me about it if you want to, I know we're not exactly the closest of people but we are all a team here, as you know, and everyone has your back." He said and tears threatened to spill. "Talk to me, you are not superhuman. It's ok to let your emotions out." He said patiently. And that was it, tears began to stream down my face. "Talk" Hoppo said as he leant forward. I took a second. And then I began to speak. "It's just she was going to end it, she was ready to go, or at least she thought she was. And I was the only other person up there, and when I got her to talk the things she was saying. It was relatable. And It just took me back a bit to when I was in a really bad place a few years ago." I took a breath. "Her dad hurts her, and thats why it was so much more personal to me, I felt responsible for her. She could've died because I didn't listen to her and I got closer which made her fall because I startled her. I feel like it was my fault." I finished ranting. Hoppo was looking at me, with so much sympathy. "Ok so, one it was not your fault, had you not got closer, you wouldn't have been there to catch her. So do not blame yourself, at all. You were in a tough situation and your instincts kicked in. You handled it perfectly. Two, I spoke to the hospital who had the girl in their care, they know everything and she is getting help, the police are involved and her dad is in custody already." He shuffled in his seat. "And lastly, I'm so sorry you had so much relation in her situation... now I'm guessing that the relation has something to do with this Joe guy who broke into your apartment and attacked you." I sat up with confusion. "Ah don't worry, I found out from one of the boys they were worried for your safety. They didn't do it maliciously they were just worried... I'm sorry that you have been through so much and I'm glad you are still here. You belong with us at Bondi, you're one of us." He stopped. I looked down at my hands, as thoughts were swirling through my head. I belong here? "Thank you Hoppo. I'm ok, I really am, it was just a lot." "I understand that, I'm aware you are on tower duty, if you feel you need to go home the boys will be ok." I looked up at him. "No no no I can stay, I can, I can't keep going home because of a tricky rescue, I'd be going home every day if I did. It's part of the job. I'm ok honestly, just needed to rant." I said letting out a sigh. "Ok only if you're sure, I'm always here if you need a chat, as are all of the other boys ok?" He reassured. "Thank you so much Hoppo." "Hey listen, I think you're ready." I'm confused... "ready? What do you mean?" I ask. "I'm declaring you an official full time lifeguard, I know it hasn't been that long, but you're very quick at thinking on your feet, your skills in the water are brilliant. Your social skills are top. So what do you say we end the day right and you become a full time lifeguard?" My emotions are confused I was sad and ranting and now I've got butterflies. "I'd love to be Hoppo, thank you, oh my god." I beam. "Well congratulations, why don't you let the boys know huh?" I stand up as does he. I walk towards the door, "oh and Caitlin.." I turn around. "Please, talk if you need to, don't suffer on your own." "Thank you." And I left for the tower.

I walked into the tower where Jake, Reidy and Whippet were sitting watching the water. Although I was officially a lifeguard, there's still that feeling lingering I felt a bit sad, about the lady the whole situation today has been one hell of a day and we've got about two hours left, lets hope it all goes smoothly. When I sat down, I realised the beach was starting to die down, there was a few people remaining on the beach a couple in the water, the temperature had decreased a bit and there was a bit of a breeze in the air.
