"I have to wait for someone to come help me Luke" I say flustered over the phone.

"Help you with what?" He asks calmly.

"I got a flat tire and when I went to get the jack it wasn't there and I called my dad even though they are on vacation and all he said was 'oops, I forgot to put it back'."

"Maybe one of my brothers can come and help, I think Jack is at home" he laughs.

"How is this funny Luke?" My annoyance level goes up.

"I'm going to call Jack and ask him to bring a jack" he says sheepishly. "I thought it was kind of funny." I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose.

"I'm sorry, I'm just annoyed that this is happening now when I'm supposed to come pick you up."

"Don't worry, I'll call Jack and we will come fix it." Now is my turn to laugh.

"What?"

"You guys fix it? I think you will just bring me the jack and I'll fix it. You are not going anywhere near my car."

"See you soon babe" he gives up.

"Thank you, I love you."

"I love you too."

-------

"What did you hit you bozo?" Jack asks while getting out of his car.

"I didn't hit anything. I ran over a nail when I went to my parent's house to pick up the mail" I inform him.

"Why would you do something dumb like that?" He keeps pushing.

"Jack" Luke warns. Jack rolls his eyes and pulls what you need out of his trunk. I take the jack from him and set it up.

-------

"MUM" Luke yells when we walk into his parents house.

"In the kitchen" she shouts back. We head that way and find the rest of the family sitting or standing around the island in the middle of the kitchen.

"There is the little tire killer" Ben says as he stands to give me a hug.

"Oh come on, I have only had 3 flat tires ever" I say back.

"But they have all been in the last 8 months so let's be realistic here" he keeps joking.

"At least I didn't run out of gas more then once you butthead" I have a slight smirk and Liz and Andrew laugh along. I see Luke off to the side making a face.

"Mum says we can go play some footy before dinner" Jack says to Luke. "You and bozo wanna play?"

"No" he says rather snippy. His entire family and I look at him at the same time with questioning looks.

"Is there something we have to do?" I ask gently. "I would kind of like to play, haven't been able to play for a few weeks."

"Fine" he says and pushes himself off of the wall. On our way out Liz gives me a look. I shrug to signify that I don't know why he is being so weird. When we get outside Ben kicks the ball over to Luke and eventually he melts back into his normal self. In an attempt to kick the ball into the goal I trip over my shoe that has untied and although I get it in, I end up on the ground. I'm laughing histerically when Luke, Ben and Jack jog over.

"Klutz" Jack teases and I see Luke's jaw tense again.

"You okay, are you hurt, should I get mum to look you over?" He almost sounds panicked but I just accept the hand that Ben offers me.

"I'm fine Luke, just tripped on my lace" I bend down to tie it.

"So it's 2 for Lukey and bozo and 1 for Ben and I" Jack mentions as he picks up the ball. He looks at his watch and smiles.

"Plenty of time to tie it up and then crush you losers."

"No" Luke says with the same tone as earlier.

"Why not?" Ben asks.

"Y/N" he says with as much clarification as possible "and I have some stuff to sort through in my room." Ben sighs.

"Whatever." He jogs off and I watch a second as the other two kick the ball back and forth between them. Luke holds my hand firmly as we pass the kitchen and up to his old room. When we get in the room I pull my hand out of his and cross my arms across my chest.

"What the hell Luke!" I try not to get too loud. "What is your problem?"

"They are!" He points with his whole hand out the window to where his brothers are still kicking the ball. "It's like they have no respect for anyone else. You have a name and it isn't Klutz or Bozo or Tire Killer" he flaps his arms.

"Seriously? That's what this is about?" My eyebrows shoot up. "Luke, I have 4 brothers and 3 sisters and I'm the littlest of them all. That includes my 14 cousins too. I'm used to it and it's no big deal."

"How many cousins are there in total? Jesus" Luke is surprised.

"There are 22 of us and I am the baby of us all so I'm used to being called silly names. They don't mean anything by it and it doesn't bother me so why do you let it bother you?"

"Because they are my brothers and they shouldn't be treating you like that."

"Fine, if you have such a stick up your butt about it then you go talk to them because I'm not the one upset about it." My arm movements have increased in my frustration.

"Fine" Luke says as he walks out. I follow him back downstairs until he reaches his brothers. "Stop calling her names, it's mean" he says like a child.

"I'm sorry Y/N I didn't know it bothered you" Ben says rather quickly.

"It doesn't" I point out. Jack looks at Luke with a brow raised.

"So it just bothers you then?" He asks Luke.

"It just seems like you are making fun of her and I don't like that. I love her and I want her to be around for like ever and I'm afraid that if you keep it up then she will think you hate her and if our family hates her then she won't want to be a part of it and then what am I supposed to do? I don't want to be with anyone else and I'll be alone forever and it will"

"Whoa whoa whoa" Ben cuts him off.

"Us teasing her means that we like her dude. Relax for a second!" he puts his hand on Luke's shoulder.

"Listen Luke, if she didn't like it then we would absolutely stop and if you don't like it then we can stop too but we just thought that she was cool with it because she played along and gives us names back and stuff." Jack comes up on the other side of Luke and as they all stand side by side looking into the back yard I hear a click from beside me and realize that Liz had gotten her camera out. I smile at her and she smiles back.

"You can't ever miss a moment like this" she whispers.

"Mum has her camera" Luke says loud enough for me to hear.

"SCATTER" Ben teases and they all run in different directions.

"What a bunch of weirdos" I tease and Liz laughs.

"I think maybe one day you will be just as much a part of this weird family" she says.

"I hope so" I tell her. "Really, I do."
