"Looking very Prince-like today." You smile, adjusting Luke's crown on his head so that it sat perfectly behind his blonde quiff.

"Is that so?" He smiles, pecking you on the head with a kiss. "Well I have quite a grand birthday party for my brother today and, oh would you look at that, you're also invited!"

"Marvelous." You tease, poking his nose.

Since Luke made amends with what he did, he acted like the perfect gentleman. He'd often open the doors for you and he'd compliment you whenever he had the opportunity to do so. Luke desperately tried to please you, despite you telling him everything was ok, which was infuriating at the best of times.

Your fear for strangers was still prominent and had a key part in your life but Luke never teased you, instead he'd shield you away from the stranger and put himself in view. He got a new horse drawn carriage into the castle with curtains and lockable doors so that when travelling, you were as safe as you could be.

"Y/N?" You looked back at Luke who was frowning at you. "Are you alright?"

"I'm perfectly fine, Luke." You smile. "Now go wait elsewhere whilst I change into something far more appropriate."

"Yes Ma'am." He winked, walking out of the door still branded with the capital 'L'.

You made your way over to the wardrobe that contained your clothing and you opened it's large white doors to reveal the clothes that Luke had insisted on buying you over the past few months. They ranged from grand ball gowns with glitter surrounding every inch of your frame to straight cotton dresses with soft corsets and loose sleeves. Shoes were held underneath; white heels, black heels, purple, blue and red heels, white sandals, slippers and even silk lined riding boots. It was every girl's dream but you weren't bothered.

You preferred waking up to Luke with his mouth slightly agape, releasing small incoherent snores as well as his disheveled hair. The way his tongue would rest between his teeth and the way his grip was always firm as if he feared you'd be taken from him.

Glancing at the dresses, you pulled out a glamorous ice blue dress, to match Luke's tie. The dress was long and slightly poofy but it wasn't ridiculous. It had a sweetheart neckline lined with small diamonds that covered the top bodice. The skirt part had only a few diamonds littered over the material. You mentally decided that you'd pair the dress with a pair of white heels and you'd have to wear the small tiara given to you by the King when Luke announced that you were to stay as a royal.

You struggled to get the dress on but did so somehow. The corset was pulled shut by one of the maids and you slipped your feet into the heels before walking over to the dressing table Luke had put in his room especially for you.
You pulled the pin out from your hair and waves of Y/H/C fell out and formed natural waves. You separate one part of the hair and braid a small halo braid over your head for the tiara to sit next to.

"Y/N? Our entrance is in 2 minutes." Luke knocked on the door. "Need some help."

You push the tiara onto your head and walk over to the door and smile as you open it.

"Let's go, your Highness." You grin, wrapping your smaller arm around Luke's buff one.

You walked down the corridors of the castle, Luke by your side, and held your head high. You usually never held your head up but today you felt different, more powerful, better. You felt healed from your demons, from those evil men that ruined your innocence.

Luke stopped just behind a wall near the main grand staircase and forced you to stop as well. Grand classical music echoed around the castle as well as he low rumble of gossip from the people who were invited to Jack's party. It was your first time at an event as large as this and you were having a hard time breathing from the thought of the amount of strangers lurking down there.
